The band is adjustable, not the crown. So no matter how small your head circumference is (mine is 20 1/2”), the crown won’t have a “squeezed” look like my petite Walleroo. Also, sun protection is great. I can’t wear hats. I really look awful in them. This one works well for me with the brim up or down. Was worried the big brim model would be too big for my small head but it’s not. I have the linen color - perfect. Sewed some loops on where the brim starts and threaded a scarf through to personalize it. Haven’t had it in big wind, but it holds on well so far. Will probably add a chin strap with toggle at some point. Packs well. Came quickly. All this and the price was right! Perfect hat! Don’t hesitate.Update: I took this hat with me on trips to Bermuda and Ensenada - walking tours, observation deck of a ship, beach day, trip up the mountains in a Hum V. Great sun protection. Shaded my eyes well on the beach. Travels well. Looks good even after having been packed (it does wrinkle a bit though - Downey de-wrinkle spray worked well). Folded to fit into my decent-sized but not over-sized handbag when I was indoors. It held on fairly well in the wind, but a sudden, strong gust nearly blew it off. I'm definitely going to add a chinstrap. When the hat became soiled after a very dusty off road experience, I was able to remove the spots with a very moist washcloth. Still love this hat. My favorite, in fact. Definitely recommend.

I own several in different colors. I LOVE them. You aren't supposed to launder them but I do anyway. I take it from the washing machine and press it down over a small-to-medium size, stainless steel mixing bowl (turned upside down). This reduces shrinkage as it dries. These hats always look good and travel well.

I love the wide brim on this hat as it really protects your face from the sun. It also has an adjustable inner tie to adjust the fit as you like even on breezy days. The brim can be bent up or down too depending on how much coverage you want. There are many colors to choose from. I have a fairly large head and it fits me fine plus you can always make a snugger fit if you prefer. It is packable as well.

I am an expert in this particular hat. I've purchased several of the same one over many years because I love them that much, and I constantly get compliments on them. I wear one every single day any moment I'm outside the house. This one I just received is different and of lesser quality than all the ones before. Some of the changes are good -- the brim is about an inch longer than the old one, and the liner is tan instead of white. But the fabric is a lot thinner, the string to adjust the head circumference is less sturdy, the logo inside the crown is now printed in big letters all over the inside instead of a tasteful sewn-in smaller tag. This hat won't age as well as the old ones.The Pros: it's a good looking hat, it's highly packable and a great travel addition, still a decent deal for the price, the tan liner will be more forgiving with sweat.The Cons: the liner still shows if you get too 1990s with folding the brim up. All the things I've said above.

Love these garden hats! I buy extras because they are perfect in every way. Adjustable rim on these are perfect, breathable, nice lining, wash very well (no wrinkles!), great adjustability inside, and affordable.

I just love this hat. It’s now my new favorite. I need protection from the sun and this hat has such great coverage with its large brim. The wonderful materialallows you to bend the hat to protect you from the sun. It’s so breathable too my head never gets hot. The draw cord inside makes it so easy to adjust it to fit your head perfectly! I will be buying another color for sure! I would recommend this hat to anyone!
