Best Little League Pitching Machine on Amazon
The media could not be loaded. If you are looking for a pitching machine for your little league baseball or softball player, this is the one to buy. The machine comes packed very well and with easy-to-follow directions to set up. The unit comes preconfigured for baseball but includes the softball loader bracket which installs with a couple of bolts included. It doesn't come with Jugs baseballs or softballs (they don't claim it does), so I suggest ordering them when you get the pitching machine. I can only speak for the Jugs Yellow Dimpled 9-inch balls, but they throw and hit well. You will also need to provide an outdoor-rated extension cord to power the machine. The machine will throw up to 50 mph from around 50 feet. If you are buying for high school ball, you could put the machine closer to the batter to simulate a faster pitch. But you might want to consider the larger BP1 model that goes up to 70 mph. If you want the ability to use softballs and baseballs you would want the BP1 combo model.I set up the machine in our local softball batting cages and place the machine at 35 feet. I've attached pictures of the setup and a short video of the machine in action running at 39 mph. The machine's motor will get slightly louder as you increase the speed and approach 50 mph, but it's not above normal speaking volume. As you increase the speed you will need to adjust the "tilt" of the motor mount using a built-in T handle (on the left side of the machine and silver in color). Tilting up will raise the height of the pitch, tilting down will lower the height of the pitch. You will only want to make very small adjustments and do this while the machine is powered off. After using it for 3 weeks I would suggest the following when you use it.1. Between batters or while you are picking up hit balls, turn the speed down completely or power the motor down. The motor surround will get hot in the summer months after pitching for 30 minutes. I'm concerned about the longevity of the motor, running at max if it doesn't need to be.2. Clean your Jug's yellow dimpled baseballs after a session and dry them completely. Having contaminants on the baseballs will get the pitching wheel dirty and cause the wheel to wear prematurely.3. Clean the pitching wheel with sandpaper after using it. Jugs include the sandpaper they recommend and give you directions on using it (unplugged).Overall it's well built (weighs a little over 50lbs) and easy to set up/use the machine. You can find it for under $640 on Amazon with free shipping for Prime members. Do not buy it when it's over $750! It comes with a 1-year warranty.

Rocks! Covers all
Our family of 8, 11, 14 year old boys are enjoying this as well as this old mans shoulders from not having to throw for fielding and batting. Crazy easy to assemble and transport. We’ve used it in the backyard and the ball diamond. We’ve used it to field pop flies to grounders to batting. Set up a net for first base and you can work on the hot corner. Adjust the speed to simulate a bunt or soft grounder or line drive to keep your practice active and your player on their toes. Move your net to home base and you have pop fly practice with a throw in. Adjust speed for a running catch and throw.

This machine serves its purpose consistently...
I bought this machine one year ago for my teenage son. I was no longer able to bring it in BP and decided to buy this machine. We use it multiple times a week all year long and it has cycled thousands of pitches. We set it on 50MPH from typically 36'-40' away to produce 70's-80 MPH reaction time. We also bought the yellow jugs balls which are much more accurate and durable. Do not use leather balls with this machine. Also make sure the balls are dry as well as the wheel. Do not use it if any moisture is on the balls or on the wheel from rain. Otherwise, it will deliver wild pitches. I clean the balls (water and rag) regularly and also use sandpaper to remove dirt off the wheel for regular maintenance. If we are working out and there is dew or moisture on the grass I bring a towel to dry them off before I use them again. We have space outback so I can carry the machine into position. It is a little bit heavy but definitely moveable for most adults. You can also remove the legs easily to pack in the trunk and take to practice. There is a slight learning curve on how to dial it in for strikes but once you get the feel of the machine you can set up quickly. It is fast and easy to get it to throw strikes once you play with it a little bit and learn how to set it up for best accuracy of pitches. There is an easy to use up and down tool and on occasion needs to be adjusted slightly. My son and I both see great value and he is now a HS player and competitive summer league player and we still use it all the time. This machine is a great value. Yes, it is an investment but after one year I decided to write this review as we both really like this machine. We also invested in a long and durable extension cord for power and a net to protect the pitching machine feeder. Just a few other ideas to consider...

Eats Balls
States it will throw 12 inch softballs. False. It chews them up and will force you to buy their machine balls.
