SKYRC SK-600075 WiFi Module Compatible with Imax B6 Mini B6AC V2

I bought this so I could be notified when my lipo batteries are done charging. I charge them in an ammo box charging bunker in the basement, so I don't hear the charged chime my b6ac gives when they're charged. I thought this device would be the perfect solution.It's not.First of all, it has a very hard time connecting to my wifi. My laptop has all the bars when I put it right next to the wifi module. It does connect eventually, but it's taken upwards of a half an hour before. As such, I have to leave my charger on all the time if I want to use this. I don't really like phantom loads, so this doesn't make me happy.Second, and worst of all, this does not notify my iPhone when charging has been completed. I'm using the latest version of the iOS app at this time, version 1.2.3. I asked SkyRC support about the problem, and they told me they would look into fixing it, but gave no ETA. I can poll the charger using the iOS app, and see that the charge is still ongoing, but what I really want is a push notification. If SkyRC fixes this shortcoming, I'll be happy to upgrade my review to four stars.Finally, the iOS app has a different menu structure than the LCD interface on the B6AC. I was hoping it would be better and easier to use. It isn't. It requires entering way more data than the button interface on the B6AC in order to do the same thing. This would be fine if they provided a profile system, but they don't. For example, I want to configure a profile named "Fatshark Battery" that is setup for a 1000mah 2 cell lipo. Then I want select it with one click of a button, pass the voltage sanity check screen, and initiate charging. It would be great if it gave me a heuristic ETA too.However, the iOS app provides none of that. It's like it was designed by a bunch of engineers who read a requirements document without understanding how any of the requirements would be used. The iOS app has tons of features, and they're all completely useless to me, because it's faster to just walk downstairs and push buttons on the charger itself.Disclaimer: I'm a software engineer by trade. I get worked up when software is done poorly.

there's nothing wrong with this on how it functions. It links via wifi direct so u can stay alert when charging is done. Very simple...What I dislike isn't a failure of the product, simply the usage design. Wifi direct limits your phone to the device only. Can't get on the web, get netflix...can't nothing. So buy this if you don't mind losing service to your device other than being able to get alarm bell going off when your charging is complete. What I'd like to see is the device hooks up an an android app.Other thoughts, it's not really an issue if you have multiple devices around the house. Ex: a tablet that isn't doing anything. Wifi to this thing and you're all set.

Have had no issues with it, works great with my skyrc charger and sends information to your phone so that you can see what the charger is doing and the status of the battery. Although those are things that I think a charger should have, this is a little cheaper and you can walk to other rooms in your house and still check on the status of your charge. For a little extra money I would say it's a nice feature to your phone. The app will also display a graph of the average charge and a bar graph of all your cells and where they are at. The information seams to be quite accurate.

this is a special purpose thing that is way overpriced and does not even seem to be a great product even when used as intended.the charger that it goes with (I have a genuine b6) does talk to this and one of the android apps does seem to do something. but it fell way short of what I would want it to do and some functions even caused the app to crash.I could not go to a direct url to manage the charger, which I was hoping for.maybe the stream is just a 'telnet port' and its ascii. not sure. I kind of gave up since even the b6 I have is not volt-accurate or current-accurate and they removed any calibration menus, so I abandoned this brand and this device now sits, unused, since it was meant for only 1 purpose.

Works perfectly as I was expecting. Allows for checking status and controlling the charger through your phone. Works great on my android phone; personally untested with iOS. Comes with the micro USB cable to plug into the charger and also comes with another cable for plugging into a flight controller to change flight controller settings from your phone.

Excellent device. Handshake was immediate. I could perform functions to the SKYRC Charger through iOS device remotely.IO cloud shut off charging procedure and or increase/decrease charging current through this device.Thanks .

dont bother. Software sucks on both iOS and android. using 5 different devices and 2 modules, I never once got the ESC to connect. Incresdibly frustrating. Look up "ESC Link" by Sky RC on android store... Tells it all..

WiFi module works well, as advertised. However, you can't use your iPad for anything else, because the WiFi becomes dedicated to only the module. You will lose you internet access until your done charging.
