Just what I needed
These chain rings are built right I expect to get a lot of use out of it, one of the things I wasn't expecting was the noise, nothing major but the chain popping when you first start using it can be a bit unsettling after maybe half a mile it's pretty much quiet but still has some noise to it, waiting for one more part before I make final adjustments and hopefully that will get it completely straight, otherwise I'm completely happy with this chain ring, light weight, threaded holes in the chain ring to receive the chain ring bolts, no need for spacers or smaller chain ring bolts, perfect fit on my 104BCD, looks great, heck what else could you want.I guess they assume people know how to install these chain rings but as many pictures and Youtube video's I've seen they're wrong, first the screen printed side faces out, second there is an arrow screen printed on the chain ring with the word "Crank" that means you need to line up the arrow to the crank arm, if you don't install it correctly don't complain about it.

the included bolts made this easy. i quickly removed my shamano Saint triple crank ...
used this Gear ring for the first test conversion from 3x9 to 1x9. the included bolts made this easy. i quickly removed my shamano Saint triple cranktook all the old gears off. droped this right on (lettering out) used the included bolts and put everything back together. this replaced the middle 32 tooth ring. my cassette is a 9 speed 12-36 and a long cage deroe rear derailer. i took it for a quick spin and like the range. i have on my Hardtail 26er. i like the simplicity of 1x i plan t install a zee10spd short cage (will handde the 12 to 36 and give me a clucched dear derailer. and use a sram 9 speed shifter. or add in a 10 speed cassete . will be going full blown 1x11 on my FS now that i know i like the configuration. is it wares out i will probibly replace it with a race face or wolf 30t but for 19.99 it was worth it to see if i would like the change. I DO! good macineing nice and light and includes the bolts what more can i say......

Super affordable upgrade! Great quality!
Whats not to like? I converted my older full suspension to a 1x with this and it was a super easy job. Nice color options too and it comes with hardware to mount. It's threaded so you don't need to use the back side of the traditional barrel type hardware. I added a Race Face bash guard and a bit longer hardware to compensate for the extra thickness. I highly recommend this if you're considering.

No more dropped chains!
I had a professional bike tech install this on my 2015 Diamondback Hook 27.5 MTB, which was dropping the chain seemingly every 5-10 minutes of riding. I also spring for a new WTB 8-speed chain, and I've had solid shifting with no dropped chain ever since. The mechanic thought I was wasting my money and said my factory chainring was only about 3% worn; I acknowledge that the teeth were still in good shape, but I keep see when riding how warped it was. Thing ring seems more rigid. For the price, I'll be content even if it wears out in 2 years. It's a simple, inexpensive replacement.

Great value; consistent performance
Upgraded my entry level 8 speed mtb to 1X and used this chainring on the front. I've got over 100 mi on it and have never had the chain jump off yet. Couldn't be happier especially for the money. Looks great too.

Good for the price
I ordered this chainring to put on a trek marlin 7 made the gearing on the bike so much better. It's not raceface but it is a decent chainring with good machinied aluminum used with a KMC 9 speed chain and it runs good. I recommend a 32t or a 34t for bikes with smaller cassettes.

Good quality, might not work in middle chainring slot on an existing 3 ring crank w/o spacers.
Seems like a quality product especially for the price. It looks like there are a handful of off brands selling this same chainring under different names. This one comes with decent enough chainring bolts though, which is a nice bonus. One thing to note is if you want to mount it to an existing 3 ring crank, it is designed to mount on the outermost chainring slot. This isn't really ideal, because when you pedal backwards while in the largest cassette gear, the chain will slip to the third or sometimes fourth cassette gear almost immediately. This is extremely annoying when trying to start a climb from stopped as the chain has to engage the first gear again, which is clunky and puts a lot of stress and wear on the drivetrain. So it's better to mount it in the middle slot on the crank, but this required spacers and some modification to my crank to work. The inside edge of the metal around the mounting hole of the chainring was riding up on crank where the flat milled slot for the middle chainring stopped (I'll try and post some pictures to better illustrate what I'm talking about). I got it mounted in the middle by adding some modified stainless washers and grinding a tiny amount off of the crank where it was rubbing. This can probably be accomplished much more easily by purchasing some chainring spacers, but I'm cheap and I have a dremel.Overall good quality, I didn't drop any stars for needing to do some modifications in order to fit it in the middle chainring slot. It either wasn't designed for this or maybe my crank is just a little different. It did great holding the chain on during my first ride through some pretty rocky descent.

Does not fit on all cranks
Like others who posted a lower rating, the two I bought for 2 fat bikes didn't fit either of my cranks without some modification. Aside from those issues, they are nicely made. You can make it fit if it's not right with a dremel and a sanding drum. My time isn't free so I gave it 2 stars... 5 stars for the other quality and 30T option for 104bcd.
