The first one was with a palm rest, it was a PC setup for a family, and it was excellent, they loved it. I have another build and my nephew doesn’t like using a palm rest, so I decided to get him this combo instead. It is a good discount without the palm rest. I wish the packaging opens from the top and not from the sides. Keyboards + mouse are easier to unbox that way. But other than that, this combo is excellent. Once you take these out of the box, the first thing you’ll notice is how premium quality this product is. The aluminum top frame feels very rigid and won’t bend under pressure. The keycaps are made of plastic with a matte finish. Comparatively, my primary KB has smooth keycaps and they retain skin oils. So, this matte finish is easier to maintain and clean. The blue switches are really clicky, majority of gamers love clicky keys. But these keys are a little softer to press compared to mainstream mechanical KB blue switches. But tactile feedback is still excellent. Testing this KB + mouse combo on some FPS game gave surprising results. Feedback is good and no key delays or lag. I’m not a big fan of RGB lights, I just set them to “breathing” mode and forget about it. This KB+mouse combo has customizable RGB lights. You can customize them using software, but you can also change them using the FN keys, no need to install additional software. Same thing with the mouse that has a button to change RGB style. You can change the DPI settings on the fly on the mouse to 6 different settings, but there is no default for 1200 DPI which most gamers use, the next best thing is 1600 DPI which is only a very small difference in my opinion. I was able to game with this keyboard for 2 hours straight without any problem. Performance wise, it only took a few minutes until I got used to the feel of the keyboard and mouse and back to my gaming style. Overall, this combo is an excellent option for budget gaming builds. They perform on par with those $100+ branded ones. If you prefer a keyboard with palm rest, then look for their other variant for an additional cost, but if you’re ok without a palm rest, this combo is for you. Will I buy this again? Well, this is my second set for another build, so yes. Highly recommended. Review: 4.9/5 Stars!!! This keyboard and mouse combo is great!! - This is a perfect solution for me, in my home office PC. The only reason I didn't give 5 out of 5 stars, was because my old keyboard had an individual key for the calculator, this keyboard you have to press the Function key then F8 to get to the calculator. Besides that, this is an excellent replacement for my 6 year old Microsoft keyboard that died on me. All keys are working flawlessly! I love the RGB colors and other colors for both the keyboard and mouse. If I was an avid gamer, I would consider this combo as well. Some may disagree with me on that statement, but I don't play many games myself. I just wanted a replacement keyboard and mouse which is wired, and this does the trick, and at a cheaper price than combos that aren't RGB. Also if you're worried about the brightness of the RGB being emitted, no worries there! I turned off my lights and tried to see if those lights would bother me in another room, and they're not bright enough to bother you for sleeping. Also you can turn both of the RGB lights off if they're bothersome for you. The keys have a great feel for typing and the keyboard has to tabs on the bottom to elevate it if you were curious. If this is something for home office or gaming that you need, then get it, you won't go wrong here!

A good entry-level mechanical keyboard
First, allow me to admit that I made a mistake in thinking that the board offered different solid color lighting options (all blue, all green, etc.). I was rather excited to have the board lit entirely in blue and, well, it's in rainbow. This was entirely my fault for not paying enough attention. I bought this due to the price point and the "clicky" effect, and the free mouse. I needed a temporary Mech. KB for writing with andI thought this would be a fun one to try out. So far it's performed fine for what it is and I've not experienced any malfunctions or strange behavior. The mouse doesn't much like my mousepad for some reason and occasionally the pointer leaps, but I think that's just an anomaly with my make-shift pad. The keys appear to be some sort of off-brand cherry blues and are nice and clicky and responsive. I don't use this KB for gaming so please take that into consideration. I only use this for typing (so I don't have to use the laptop's KB). The height of the keys and the angle of the board all feel comfortable and not unnatural. The key caps feel slightly "cheap" in my hands. I don't notice this too awful much, but only if I fiddle with the key cap. The lighting options are a fun novelty, though for practicality they are only useful for low-light conditions (honestly, who buys a multi-pattern back-lit keyboard for practicality anyway?!). I bought this due to price-point. It's a great KB if you're wanting to get into the "clicky" realm and don't want to go full-force. It's also lacking the extra peripheral options that others provide, such as multimedia stuff, but it does have all the basics that you'd use on a daily basis. Overall I'm pleased with the general performance and I would recommend it. The Mouse is actually much better than I had expected and I do believe that I would use it in a gaming setup, due to the variable dpi and comfort - it feels much like a Razer Death Adder.

Very nice. Responsive. Zero Ghosting. Full rollover.
Edit 4/2/24: Holy moly this baby is still kicking. Went from a temporary solution to still going wrong to today. Easy to clean. Even survived an unfortunate violent smash. (Remember the Russian Counter Strike player meme from 2006.) Beast of a keyboard for what it is. The mouse is still working flawlessly. On September 17, 2020 my razor black widow keyboard 2016 ver. Desired to forever sleep. Mechanical keyboards of that nature cost quite a bit. So in-order to satisfy the immediate need for a keyboard I came to Amazon, after looking at the selection available I was able to settle on this due to its price point and included mouse (mine was an old stock dell mouse). To start this is a very clicky keyboard, and the rainbow color pattern and modes are very nice. Compared to razor greens they are less heavy of a press. For me this is a big plus. The build is solid nice look and feel to it. That piece of aluminium is solid. Plug n' Play. Mouse is fantastic, The RGB patterns are nice as well. Feels a lot more solid than my stock dell mouse. DPI selection is nice. Plug n' Play as well. If you so choose to download the software it ads a selection of settings such as DPI setting colors. You can choose the speed of the colors and reprogram what the buttons do. You can also set up a macro. Mouse move speed, enhance pointer precision, Scrolling speed ect. This is a solid pick 5/5

Not bad for the price
I got this because other reviews said it had nice clicky keys and it does, nice feed back on the presses. The material of the keyboard its self is nice seems sturdy. The mouse feels good in my hands, also has braided cables which is nice. The only complaint i have is that i wish the keyboard and mouse had software for the RGB and for the DPI of the mouse. The on device controls for the RGB on the keyboard and the mouse work, they work well and is not hard to figure out and has plenty of options. The DPI switch on the mouse is the main complaint for me it has 5 settings, and i personally dont like any of the options. But for 60ish dollars for both. Its a good deal. If your looking for decent priced mechanical keyboard with the Clicky sound this is a good option other keyboards around this price are "Mechanical Feeling" and dont really have the Clicky sound.

Great keyboard for the price!
Well, to really start this off, I love this combo kit! I've dealt with an Alpha Gaming bundle for a few months. It was OK to use, but the quality was just terrible. It was a wannabe mechanical-membrane keyboard. The mouse was OK, but the whole set seemed really cheap. Not with this set though! This keyboard feels so smooth to type on. The clicking from the key switches are VERY responsive and I know what key I'm hitting. The quality of the keyboard really surprised me because I really love the aluminum finish along with the matte texture of the keycaps. The lighting of the keyboard and mouse are very pretty and I love the large variety of colors I can pick from! The mouse is big, but I can drag it around and click all of the buttons just fine! My only "complaint" that I have with this keyboard is that I can't switch to one single color. But that's just a small flaw I have with the set. It's amazing and I definitely recommend it to all gamers and office workers!

The Best Keyboard I've Ever Typed On!
This is, by far, the best keyboard I have ever typed on. To begin, it is very well lit. Every key has lighting so each is very bright. Other lighted keyboards often placed LEDs at the bottom and the number row and F key rows are so dim you can't see them. This keyboard is bright on every single row and the number pad. There are also so many adjustments so you can get the lighting just how you like. However, the best feature of all is the mechanical keyboard! I really can't believe it! I am a very fast typist and this mechanical keyboard reminds me of the old IBM Selectric typewriters! It has the perfect amount of travel, clicky keys with audible and tactile feedback. All I can say is my speed has even increased more. Keys are the right size, in the right place and the mechanical keys making typing fast and error free a pleasure. You may be turned off by the noise of the keys, but really, it is an advantage. I have NEVER had such an excellent keyboard. Great job, Havit!

Stopped working after about 14 months
I bought this keyboard/mouse combo because I wanted a mechanical keyboard to use with my Xbox One X. The mouse I figured it was a good deal so I didn't mind having that be included as well. Unfortunately, my keyboard stopped working randomly. It had never been unplugged from my console and I rarely got to use it, but at times when I wanted to it would not light up or if it did light up it wouldn't let me type anything. I eventually figured I'd just switch USB ports, thinking that maybe my Xbox is messed up. After moving the keyboard to the front port it would work again, but only for a couple of hours and then it would stop for a few days. The keyboard, when it was working consistently, worked great. I love the options in the colors and patterns, plus the speed. The only thing that I figured out, after replacing this keyboard with a totally different model/brand, is that I do not like the blue switches. Black switches are definitely better to me, but it's up to your preferences I think. All-in-all, while it was in working order I loved it. Now that it's basically trash I have to give it a 3-star review. It's too late to return it and I feel that working only about a year is ridiculous. I've never had a keyboard, especially a wired one, just completely stop working like that. The mouse works just fine. I've been using it with my laptop and I love the functions of all of the buttons and how they are programmable. If I could review it separately it would get 5-stars. I've had no issues and the lighting is also programmable on the mouse, but I left it on it's default because it doesn't have the multiple functions the keyboard has.
