It seems to be very safe with the inside collar hook to keep her from jumping out. Good size!

I chose this over the more expensive ones with thick cushy pads because young puppies chew cushy pads and they pee a lot! Also, it's easy to change out towels (we have dedicated dog-towels). I put a new towel in with each outing, but so far no accidents in the car. Honestly, when I was shopping for a seat, this looked so basic, but it was a good price for a puppy I know will outgrow it in a couple of months. And it was easy to put in our car and the built-in safety straps worked GREAT. Lots of hills and curves but the car seat was steady. I didn't even need the extra straps that I bought separately (i'm overly safety-conscious). The first time we took her out, our puppy cried for a few minutes and then settled down, now 6 or so trips later she likes her safety seat and settles down right away. I hope I can find something that makes her this happy when she grows up (she's a rescue and we are guessing she will be a big girl). In sum, this is a good purchase!

This little rambunctious pup likes to jump all over the place when I drive. Bought this for my daughter’s pug (grandpug) and it’s easily car swappable. He’s 4 months old 11 lbs. and has enough space to lay down and move. Not bad for the price.

Really good size, but I was disappointed because I wanted one that sits up higher so my small dog can look out the window. This sits right on the seat of the car.

It's perfect for our puppy! As a two dog family, we want to keep our girls SAFE, first, but it's also important for them to be comfortable. While I haven't ridden in this car seat personally, Ruby (pictures included), seems to be pretty cozy riding in her seat.When we first got it, she was light enough that she didn't trigger the passenger side airbag to activate, so I did have her ride in the front seat. However, now she's a little bigger and even though she might not be heavy enough to trigger the airbag, I'm still not going to risk it.We've ridden with Ruby and our bigger dog (Luna) both in the back seat. Luna was buckled in comfortably and Ruby was in her car seat. This way, they were together, but still had their own space. Initially I was worried about Luna accidentally stepping on Ruby or trying to get into the basket with her, but they both did really well!Our back seat is a 30/70 split and I was confident (and correct) that this carseat would install on the smaller side without any issues since it's about the same width as the front seat. However, I was excited to see that after lengthening the straps a little, it could also attach on the LARGER side! So, no matter the seating arrangements, Ruby is road ready!Her seat keeps her contained, secured, and safe. We also tightened the top strap (around the headrest) to raise her up a little so she could see out of the window. If you do this, maybe put a pillow or folded blanket/towels, etc under the carseat (between the dog's carseat and your car-seat). Otherwise, the pup will bounce around with every bump in the road, and according to Ruby, the transfer of motion is INTENSE when the seat is just suspended in the air, haha. Having something under it will help stabilize it and hopefully keep your pup from barfing.I wouldn't say Ruby LOVES riding in the car, but that's more because she's a baby and it's still new and scary for her. I CAN say that having her own seat seems to help her feel safe, and it definitely helps ME feel better about having her ride SAFELY in the car.So far, 🐾 two paws up from my little lady! 🚗

I have two small Shih Tzus. I purchased just one to give it a test run. Neither one of my babies want to sit in this seat, but that’s just a matter of training.This particular seat is great for small dogs less than 20 pounds. The bottom of the seat is not sturdy enough for any small dogs heavier than 20 pounds.However, the security of the seat is great! Lots of ways to secure it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the flimsy bottom.

Perfect size for my small cockapoo pup. I place her in the back seat on the passenger side so she can still me.

This is a great purchase. My dog is 4lbs, he’s really rough while in the car, it took a few different try’s to get the car seat to the best way he would be safe in it. I found I had to put the front straps in the visor of the top of the car because he would get caught when they were towered over him when the straps were around the headrest. ! It’s pretty study but I personally wouldn’t recommend a dog over 10lbs ( if you want it to be raised like mine in the picture)

This is a great little portable "play pen" too! We use it on our boat, on the beach and when visiting other houses as a place to put our puppy when we can't be watching him 100% of the time. With a chew toy and a blanket he's happy. Also handy in the car to keep him from running all over without having to shut him away in a crate where he would cry. Great quality - I just wish the front panel wouldn't bend like it does - it doesn't stay straight as the plastic is thin.

This is a well-constructed, sturdy car seat for my puppy. The sides are tall enough that she can't try to climb out and the mesh material lets her see me the whole time, even when she lies down. The leash tether has a strong clip, though it is plastic, and easily connects to her harness to keep her safe while we're driving. The tether is a generous length, so ti can be adjusted while she grows. The colors are exactly as shown and it's easy to set up in the car. I recommend this for anyone who needs a safe, comfortable place for their dog in the car while driving.
