Kite Hill Plain Unsweetened Almond Milk Yogurt, 16 Ounces, Dairy Free

This yogurt is kindof thin, but totally tasteless so that makes it a good alternative to other cream kind of products like sour cream and yogurt in smoothies or even a ranch dressing base.

I have always hated yogurt. I have tried to find one I could tolerate for years. This one is perfect, very mild taste, great consistency, and not that sourness yogurt has, tastes very “neutral” if you will. Great for adding granola, berries, cinn etc. such a nice simple flavor you can really add anything and it will compliment it well. A bit pricey

Of the almond-based yogurts available, this particular variety is the only one (even among Kite Hill's offerings) that doesn't use tapioca starch, instead just sticking with locust bean and xantham thickeners. Most may not give half a damn about this, but if you can't have tapioca starch for some reason (as is my case), this is like a narrow shaft of sunlight in a world where the stuff has become massively prevalent over the last couple of years.The yogurt itself is pretty tasty and versatile for sauces, etc., but that's pretty subjective. Fine source of the bacterial cultures yogurts provide in general. My only wish on this is that the best by date weren't always so relatively immediate, especially during times like this when consistent, regular supplies of most anything are tough to come by.Update 12/26/2021: they now use an unspecified "starch" in their ingredients. Sadly, I'll have to go back on the hunt for alternatives, pending specificity on the label, since me and most added starches do not get along.Update 12/28/2021: got in touch with the manufacturer about the starch:Dear Valued Consumer,Thank you for taking the time to contact kite hill.The starch used in our Original (also called “European style” or “Euro”) Almond Milk Yogurts is derived from corn.Thank you again for contacting us. No added sugar. It's great mixed with berries or salsa.

Sugar free plant based yogurt

When I decided to cut out dairy, I tried every kind of unsweetened nondairy yogurt available. I love to finish dinner with fruit topped with plain yogurt and nuts. Well, THIS almond milk yogurt is far and away the best I've tried. The flavor is pleasant, the texture Incredible. It's a little more expensive than the cashew yogurt, my 2nd favorite, but totally worth it. I guess others like it too, as it was out of stock this week. And the ingredients list didn't include anything scary, also important. A wonderful product.

Kite Hill has a ranch dip that we used to get until our store stopped selling it, unknowingly why since they kept the French onion one instead..I now made an ever better version however.I bought forager yogurt along with kite hill and mixed half of each together(optional but it turned out good), with dried dill, fresh minced garlic, TJs chunky garlic salt, tsp ACV, and a dill dip season packet from WF. I let sit for half a day for it to soak up the seasoning.

After all the glowing reviews and loving almond milk I got this. My husband tasted it first and gave a big yuk. I tried it next. Both the taste and the aftertaste were disgusting. I bought four containers of it from Whole Foods and am likely going to have to toss it. I also am sensitive to corn so it was a shock to see in the answers up top that the ‘food starch’ listed on the container was CORN STARCH.
