Warm, Stylish Jacket at a Great Price
This is an excellent jacket at a great price! The jacket itself is very well-made and will keep you warm well into the end of autumn and beginning of winter. It features two zippers and a fleece underjacket (not detachable) perfect for adjusting the level of warmth to the temperature. Unlike many other leather jackets, it comes with a gray hoody that makes it wearable in the rain or snow, an addition that I really like. The style is also top notch and you can almost count on getting compliments from friends (and maybe even strangers) while wearing this jacket. I have worn it to restaurants, clubs, and even class and it fits in well in almost any atmosphere. The size is a little on the larger side so you may consider getting a size smaller than you normally wear if you want that fitted look. If you do decide to this, you don't have to worry about proportions as this jacket features slightly longer sleeves and overall length, giving you a perfect fit if you are a taller and slimmer guy. Of course - on the flip side - this makes it very hard for a shorter guy (or girls) to find any size that fits well, which from what I can tell is the reason for the majority of the negative reviews. If this isn't an issue for you though, this is a great jacket and at Amazon's current price ($59.99), it is a STEAL.Please feel free to comment with any questions you have and I will try to get back to you! Best jacket I've ever owned
I lost mine 2 years ago and had to have another. This is more stylish than the picture in the ad. It's what I call cool casual. Looks like a comfy, worn coat. The faux leather is amazingly real looking - warm and broken - not some bad pleather. Very cool looking but doesn't make you look like you're trying to look cool, more like you grabbed something out of the closet to run out the door. This would work well for super casual, or a pair of dress jeans or dockers and button down short. Very warm for it's relatively light weight. I also like that it doesn't have a knit waist so it hangs nicer. This one has zippers at the end of the sleeves. My medium fits almost perfect but since I'm short the sleeves are a little long. I'm 5'5" 135lbs. If I were about 2 inches taller it would be perfect, but I know from similar Levi's jackets that a small would be too tight.

Great looking jacket -- especially if you prefer not to use leather.
I'm really pleased with this jacket. I'm a vegetarian and don't use leather products, but I always figured a faux leather jacket would look cheap. The pleather on this jacket looks great and has a nice soft feel to it. The brown is a very dark brown that can look almost black in some lighting conditions. I also really like the styling, which is rather understated without any obvious pockets or decorations. The pockets it does have (two on the side one on the left breast and one on the inside) are all zippered.I'm a relatively big guy (6'1" and around 270 lbs) but the XL fits me well. It's snug, but not at all tight, and the sleeves seem to be about the right length. I haven't had a chance to try it out in genuine winter weather, but it's warm enough that I feel that it would probably work even in Illinois winters as long as you have something relatively warm underneath. My only real reservation about the jacket is the fact that the hood is built in, so you always look like you're wearing a hoodie underneath it. It's generally a cool look, but it probably does make the jacket slightly more casual looking than it would otherwise be.

Not a racer jacket, but a great heavy winter coat
Expectations:When I ordered this coat I was in search for a relatively slim-fitting leather (or faux-leather) jacket that I could wear either in the spring mornings and fall afternoons here in Michigan or on short summer motorcycle jaunts. I was looking for a jacket that would reject wind well, be comfortable in 40F+sunny to 65F+cloudy conditions, provide good arm mobility and look great. Having seen this coat at around $60 I thought at the time of purchase that I'd give it a shot and return it if wasn't what I'd been looking for.Fitment:When I got the coat and put it on I realized two things pretty quickly: 1) It fits really great and 2) it's much heavier than what I was looking for. My shoulder width is 37" so I was concerned the Medium would be too large (according to Amazon's sizing chart, small takes up to 36" and medium starts at 38"). Fortunately that's not the case - the shoulder seam of the coat sits right at the end of the clavicle. With my arms at my side and posture straight, the arms end at my knuckle and therefore cover my palms. With my arms bent 90 degrees at my elbows the coat arms terminate right at my wrists. *Perfect* fit. With a perfect fit in the bust of the coat, it becomes even more clear why this is not the racer jacket I was expecting. The circumference of the belly of the coat is at a minimum 60". I'm 5'11" and keep my waist to within 32" and find that while the coat isn't necessarily bulky, it's not a slim-fitting jacket by any stretch. This is about my expectation for a well-fitted heavy winter coat. I find this mildly irritating as the title of the page describes this product as a "racer hoody" but I've never seen such a bulky racer in my life. This is a coat, not a jacket. That having been said, as a coat, the length is perfect on me, coming past my belt by a few inches with my shoulders at ease. The arm holes are wide, however, which means the coat rises to above my belt when I raise my arms above my head.Materials and Craftsmanship:The faux-leather material is soft and compliant. It slides around on top of my cloth car seats so it's not difficult to slide in and be comfortable right off the bat. It has a bit of a white vinegar smell to begin with, but that went away within the first week of wearing it. I don't think this material will be pre-disposed to developing worn, unsightly seams as it ages. It seems the faux-leather is too soft and compliant to be prone to "breaking in". The zippers are large, metal and excellent quality all over (hoodie, outer coat, pockets, etc) and are easy to locate into position and zip. The craftsmanship is so-so. There are a few seams on the coat which don't seem to be stitched tightly, or the thread termination is coming loose. I think once I take care of these terminations to make sure they remain tight this coat will last a long time. I'm hoping it lasts me at least 5 years before it becomes too smelly or worn to be worn in public.Performance:How does it perform? In the past few snowy, blustery 20-30F winter days it's been really great. It rejects wind very well. The collar isn't too tight (or adjustable, by nature of the single snap button), yet with the hood up I don't get a lot of wind entry down my neck or chest. There's a fair bit of insulation here both in the chest and arms, making the coat pretty heavy and somewhat "puffy". It's capable of keeping me warm for 5 minute walks in the aforementioned conditions and warm for extended periods outside in 30F+ sunny and calm conditions. I find myself pretty comfortable in it, not hot like I get in some other windbreaker+down type coats. I don't expect to be wearing this coat in mild 50F+ weather - it's too hot for that. I would look elsewhere for a SoCal winter coat as this may be a step too far.Summary:All in all I'm happy with this coat. I'm not too enthusiastic that I'll have to continue to look for that light, high-mobility racer jacket I set out for, but the fact that I don't want to return it should be testament enough to its strengths as a heavy winter coat. I docked one star off my rating for the craftsmanship concerns in the stitching. I also considered the current price of about $90 in my rating. This would be a 2-star $200 coat - I'd expect higher-quality leather and better craftsmanship at that price point. However if I were setting out to spend $100 on a heavy winter coat I would have been happy with this purchase.
