Great bit of kit, secure drive.
Great bit of kit, essential for storing passwords, sensitive information, crypto keys etc. 4gb plenty for what I need it for. It's got an internal battery that needs charging for 30 mins, then it worked np, simple setup. Feels solid. I'm happy.

Have used for 3 years now, 0 issues, highly recommend, brilliant product.
I have used this product for nearly 3 years now, it works great and I have yet to have a single issue with it. I would highly recommend to anyone. Definitely worth the money. The only concern I had and I'll share it, is the inconvenience of the size, because it is difficult to fit and keep on my keys so I just put it in my pocket instead.

Secure Flash Drive..
No-ones reading it unless you let them... Plug it in and charge it up, then enter your code and plug in.. Viola !

Hopefully very secure data storage in user friendly format.
This is a great improvement on the PRO model with much more reliable code entry. A pricey thing but in this age of data insecurity it would be foolish to buy anything less. I suppose it can be hacked by the NSA but it should be secure enough for normal domestic purposes. Pity it’s not USB-C, time to move the connector forward, using adapters is tedious.

I would say NO.
I would not recommend iStorage datAshur PRO² 256 GB Secure Flash Drive. They applied state of the art security with no reliability at all. Out of the box I couldn't even start the process of setting up my password, or use it as normal USB because the battery couldn't hold charge. I tried to charge it for over 3 hours, and the lights lit up correctly, but as soon as I unplugged it, the lights went off and the whole USB was not responsive. (Video) Maybe I was just unlucky, maybe your unit will work with no issues, but would you put important sensitive data into something that might not work two months later? What if the battery or keyboard fails? What if it will stop charging one day? Too many red flags for me to trust this device. But don’t worry, I also have a solution for you: Buy a normal USB of your choice, and encrypt it with free software “VeraCrypt”. It is among the best encryption software choices. I have to add that my refund was fast and without any problems.

First class
What else can I say? Does the job and does it well. Works with my Macs at home and Windows machines at work. Once you unlock it, it works like a regular USB Stick. Much more seamless than other encrypted flash drive options that you have to run software from on virtual discs within the stick.

Very high quality, requires a logical mind to operate
Excellent quality high end encrypted stick. Oozes quality in the hand and the lid gives a satisfying click when pressed into place against the seal. The buttons are tactile but may be a bit small for anyone without much dexterity or large "sausage fingers". Easy to setup and operate for someone who is technically minded but those that aren't may struggle.

Amazing for Bug Hunters working on high level projects!
I've had this device for quite a few months now. Used it nearly everyday, and it's still in emaculate condition! Absolutely no wear on the pin pads and the device works just like it was brand new! I had a technical issue about 3 weeks ago, but it was sorted out by the wonderful support guys, turns out I didn't know how to format it properly.. but honestly this is a lifesaver, I've personally checked their Certifications and it matches with what they advertise. I even bought my Dad one of their new M2's, ready for father's day here in the UK!

Ever bought a USB flash drive that requires a 42 page user manual to explain how to use it? Well, if you get one of these, that's what you need to do. In fact, download the user guide and read it before buying one to see if it's right for you. While you're at it, do the same with Apricorn's Aegis flash drive and compare as it's a viable alternative. If you just want to encrypt files, there's easier, cheaper alternatives (search "paranoiaworks"). I went for the Pro2 model which is the super deluxe version and costs 8-10 times more than a regular flash drive. Go big or go home. It's basically a self contained computer. You start by creating an administrator ID and then establish various parameters (password strength policy, device timeout, bootable, self-destruct password etc.) and then optionally user IDs which can be read-only or read/write. I would recommend only using it with a user ID since it only deletes the ID if you fail to enter the password correctly too many times. If you fail with the administrative ID, it resets the drive completely. I set mine up as a live Linux (MX-Linux) drive with a NTFS data partition. Give me an Intel based computer with a USB port and a network connection and I'm good to go. In fact, my drive along with my hardware authenticator key is now my office. The major caveat of this device is that it does run on a rechargeable battery. It it gets too low, the device erases itself, so don't put your super secret files on it and lock it in a safe for six months because it'll probably be blank when you try to access it. There is no capability whatsoever to recover the device once it's erased.
