Honeywell HTF090B Turbo on the Go Personal Fan, Black – Small, Portable Fan

We are currently being warned we will likely see power outages as the intense heat continues and taxes our already weak energy grid here in Texas. Since I can't move as fast as I like, I got this little guy to help out as we are also being advised to not set our AC's as low. I'd prefer to be warmer than comfortable rather than having no AC at all. My at home work space is right in front of a window. Blinds are down but hottest part of the day and it doesn't matter.This fan has only one setting, however, at that setting it blows pretty powerfully for a small appliance. I am using it as I write this and it is keepin me cool. I experimented and turned it off and the temperature and comfort is dramatic. It's definitely keeping me chill.The directions are in English and Spanish. For those who ignore directions lol, and open the battery compartement only to see two slots when there should be four - there is an added step - don't worry. You gently pull the string tere ad wiggle it out and the other two batteries go in the back side of it. Easy peasy.As an added bonus its kinda cute. Not Kawaii cute and believe me I spent hours over a few days deciding and I yearned for the cutest ones in pretty colors. However after looking at reviews and descriptions and pictures for so long I finally told myself to choose already!The not so good - depending on the person.There is a smell. I will say here I am super sensitive to scents. Don't give up on a great item though. Some items like organizers or clothes - I actually will set outside to offgas for as long as needed. And of course wash! This one had a strong chemical scent out of the box and when I started using but this dissapated immensely as I used it (turned a bit away). I feel confident that the odor will be medigated even ore in a few days.Sound. It isn't whisper quiet. I happen to like the sound but that is all preference. I have a fan by my bed all year round even in locales that actually have a winter. Partly for the noise. However, if you like fully quiet or close to, that is something to consider. I may have to not use when talking to people for work. However, I have been considering investing in a better pair of noise reducing headphones.I find it lightweight and compact, and my pictures show size comparison. However it isn't the lightest - it has a slight heft that I find reassuring. All around it feels pretty sturdy. It does have a stand that folds up - and with a very satisfying sound.All in all its a good purchase. I may get one for my son who does his work for his virtual science academy in a more sun protected spot but he might appreciate. Plus, if we do lose electricity. However, I kind of eventually want to try one you wear but not sure yet.I am happy with my purchase and may buy another. I may update if the fan stops working or to talk about battery life.

I bought this fan for a trip to Africa knowing that I would not have access to ceiling or floor fans or even electricity at times. I generally used it at night for air movement on my face and to keep potential mosquitoes away. From other reviews, I was aware that the battery life is approx. six hours so I made sure to have extra batteries on hand. To change the batteries, you need to pull out the whole cartridge because it looks like it needs two AA batteries but it runs on four. It's not a big deal to change them. This is a sturdy fan and I appreciated the stand that can be adjusted for the angle you need or you can even use it to hang the fan from something. I used the usb cord plugged into a portable charger part of the time and on the airplane if there was a usb port in the seat. I bought another fan that is a usb only fan and it was cheap and flimsy in comparison to this one. I would buy another one of these due to it's sturdiness and versatility and leave the cheap usb one at home next time.

I purchased this fan over six months ago and it is still working!! I would give it five stars if it was actually portable.What I mean is that if you put batteries into it, it quickly goes dead so very costly to have to keep putting in new ones.I purchased THIS very small and thin portable power supply and I keep it in my bag so it goes where I go.VANYUST S22 Portable Charger, Power Bank, 5000mAh External Battery Pack Compatible for iPhone 15 14 13 12 11 X Samsung S22 S21 Google iPad etc(Blue)Yes, I would rather it be a better color and cordless, but all of the other cordless fans that I have purchased have only lasted for a few months. This is the little fan that can! We used it (USB power only) on our European trip. It was so handy to be able to plug it into an open USB port and have confidence that it would run all night long. It moved a lot of air in our hotel rooms and yet it was not overly noisy.

I chose this brand over the other options from unknown manufacturers. Popped brand new batteries and turned it on. While on the phone, I heard a loud pop and a hissing noise. I looked at the fan, upon touch it was hot so I immediately pulled out the battery cartridge. It was oozing liquid from the batteries. Mind you, my batteries were new so I’m thinking the actual product was overheated the batteries because all 4 were oozing liquid.I’m not an engineer so I can’t point a finger at the exact issue but if you buy this product, keep an eye on it on the initial set up. Maybe this wasn’t meant to be on for more than 30minutes. I get overheated when blow drying my hair so the intended use was to have a breeze while I domy hair and makeup.

For the first use, the fan worked with new batteries about 9 hours but then quit. I bought new batteries today to put in the fan, these new batteries lasted about 5 hours.Cute fan and probably will work great with electricity. There is no outlet where I need this fan, however. Therefore, the need for batteries.

Perfect desk fan for the office! Compact, lite, and plenty of air flow. Which is ideal working on the phone all day. Definitely worth the purchase.
