I absolutely love this camera! The video quality on this Unit is amazing and it doesn’t just stop there. The sound is better than I could have ever expected! You can hear the deer walk and hear the arrow go thwack! I’m in love with this unit and will be buying more for different angles! Simplicity at its best. One push of a button and I’m recording my hunt. 2 and a half hour battery life, multiple mounting options and super light weight.This Unit will also Connect to the Tactacam app Which I found really convenient. Play back your hunt right there in the tree stand! A solid 5 stars from me!

By far the best action cam for hunting. Unlike other brands this cam can zoom in up to 8x now I can actually see what I'm filming during a hunt. So easy to use just one button turns it on and starts recording. I love it bc I can share my hunts with my friends and also film my little nephews hunts. No issues with this product and great quality. I mounted it on my bow stabilizer and my gun. I also purchased the head mount to use when fishing on my boat. Picture quality is amazing and battery life seems to be great. I can even set it up on my phone and set the zoom and hd or ultra hd modes and see footage right on my phone. Will be buying another one for multiple angles in the future.

I was hesitant to buy the Tactacam because of past purchases(other brands), and as a hunter I was disappointed with other POV cameras in how far away the objects looked even at closer ranges. After watching hours of YouTube and display videos in stores, I am extremely glad I pulled the trigger on the Tactacam 5.0 gun package. Not only did I get it a day sooner from the Tactacam store than amazon prime had predicted; the quality of video, simplicity to use, and the zoom on this camera far exceeded my expectations! I was in true disbelief when I shot a coyote at 140 yards and could not only see what it was, but watch the whole thing go down. I am extremely happy with this camera and would highly recommended it to anyone in the market!

Bought this for my husband....this is his review!Tactacam 5.0 Camera ReviewHere is my 5.0 Tactacam Review. I have been filming my hunts for the last 7-8 years. I went out and bought a nice handy cam Sanyo Xacti FH1A. I ran this off a Gorilla arm so that I could start to film my hunts. This was so I could capture the full effect of my hunt. After a few years of doing it, it was just getting too hard to carry all that stuff with me in the woods. It took time to set up. It wasn’t the best in cold or wet or snow. The arm was a rachet strap to the tree, trying to do in the early morning dark. These were not ideal for a hunter trying to stay out of sight and with minimal movement. This is where the Tactacam 5.0 excelled. With the simple push of a button, I could start recording. The Tactacam platform is super easy to use. Here are some of the highlights.Tactacam 5.0 can start recording with a simple single push of a button. No going through multiple screens to start recording, no need to wait for the camera to boot up, no need to worry about aiming a second arm angle. You don’t need a second person to help, it is completely self-filmable. The Tactacam 5.0 has both a bow stabilizer mount and universal gun mount. This gives the hunter the ability to use the small 3.5 oz camera in the most compact situation. The weight of the camera adds minimal weight to the end user, both on the device and in the backpack. The 5.0 also has 3 modes which allow you to record in 4K, 8x zoom, and slo-mo. With a simple touch of the mode button you can flip back and forth between all of these. What is also fantastic, is within the free downloadable app, the ability to customize each of these already preset functions. You can customize your own settings to the situation you are hunting in. The app is connected to the camera through the Wi-Fi signal it gives off. A simple small blue light blinks when looking to pair and stays steady when you are connected. All of this is done by a simple press and hold of the Mode button. No other button is needed. In fact, since the unit gives off a signal, you can connect with your camera in the remote of locations. Tactacam 5.0 allows the end user to record in 4K definition. Within that 4K setting, you can record at different FPS (Frames per second). This allows you to capture those early morning and dusk hunts where you are most likely to shoot your target of choice (ducks, deer, etc). The 4K along with 1080 definition, gives you the best chance to capture and relive that once in a lifetime moment. Tactacam 5.0 is also able to be paired with an accessory remote. This feature allows the user to pair up to five (5) Tactacam 5.0 units. Not only turn on but record all units with a simple push of a button. There is nothing else out there like this.The bow stabilizer and universal gun mounts fit just about any scope, barrel and gun that is out there. I have used mine on the Mathews Halon, Benelli M1/M2/Supersport without any problems. The fact that these units can withstand the harsh conditions of the Midwest and with a battery life of 2.5 hours recording time, this allows me to sit in the duck blind or deer stand all day long.I also have a go-pro that I have used in the past. There always seemed to be a fish eye effect. In addition, it didn’t have the different settings that Tactacam does. Not only the different modes, but also the different options for filming within the modes. Another thing that I was not a fan of was the blinking lights on the front of the go pro unit. You can turn these off, but you first have to enter the app. Tactacam 5.0 allows you to enter a blackout mode with a simple push of a button (pushing the mode while recording). Not to mention all the lights are on top of the unit, which makes it simple to see.I had a few questions getting started so I reached out to customer service. They were able to get back to me via email within a day. The second time was within a few hours. This is the fastest that I have ever seen when purchasing a piece of equipment. The customer staff friendly and able to get me pointed in the right direction.In the end, Tactacam 5.0 is the best compact, simple to use, extremely powerful, POV camera out there. I will be using multiple units this upcoming fall.

This Tactacam is truly designed with hunters in mind. Everything I have ever thought of over the years Tactacam has compacted it into 1 tiny lightweight unit. This is now my 4th Tactacam, I started with the Solo then the 4.0 Wide and then the 4.0. Tactacam gets better and better everytime. The 5.0 unit has 8x zoom in it now with Ultra High Resolution recording in 1080P. Waterproof housing. Slow motion feature is really awesome for watching that shot placement if you weren't sure. Customizable settings in your Tactacam App are so easy to set it the way you want the camera to shoot. The Tactacam App itself is really easy and wow watching on your phone everything your cameras see to make sure everything is set perfect so you don't miss anything. Streaming live on Facebook is fun to share with your friends and family so they can participate also. Image stabilization is hands down the best I've ever seen in hunting cameras. You can attach any of there cameras to a bow, crossbow, gun, scope, tactical weapons etc... The remote control that is extra is a must with the 5.0. You can link 5 cameras to 1 remote and with a push of 1 button bam they are all on. No extra movements that will scare the game away. The new FTS (Film Through Scope) is another add on that took video taping to a whole new level also. Thank you Tactacam for making such great products and just getting better and better every year.
