product is 2oz in weight. Ethiopian Black Cardamom seed pods are used as a spice and flavoring. Generally roasted over an open fire the smokey aroma adds a distinct flavor to berbere sauces, clarified butter and other chili blends. Also it’s used in condiment spice blends with Kitfo - Ethiopian style steak tartar.

Thanks for your question! Ethiopian Black Cardamom or Korerima is known as Aframomum corrorima- which is native to East Africa. The Korerima is the seed of the pod so the pod shell is removed and the Korerima is used in cooking. Indian Black Cardamom is usually Amomum subulatum which is a different varietal
