Clubman Pinaud Classic Vanilla After Shave Lotion, 6 Fl Oz

To describe the scent is difficult. I wouldn't really call it vanilla, but more of a non-floral sweet smell like fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts with a touch of a light spicy aftertone. It's subtle, but strong. Essentially, it lasts all day long and the scent definitely will catch the nose of whoever you walk by, but the scent doesn't linger and and hang in the room. Everyone will smell it and love it (I've never known anyone not to like this scent), but it's just enough for a small sample smell and then it's gone. It always surprises me when someone comments on how good it smells, but I can no longer smell it myself. That's what makes this the perfect aftershave! Of course it makes your face feel great after a shave just like every Clubman product.This Clubman scent is dangerous (in more ways than one)! I was out of town the first time I tried this scent and came home really late after a long flight. The first thing my wife said to me after spending days apart was "Wow! You smell great!" I was shocked that she could even smell it as I walked by her on my way in. It had been over 12 hours since I had put it on. She couldn't stay away from me for wanting to smell me (unusual, but a plesent surprise)! So this stuff works great after a shave, but even better at bringing in your lady a little closer! But a word of warning to you guys (and spouses too I guess) this stuff unfortunately has the same effect on all ladies. It didn't take long, after wearing this in the office a few days, one of the ladies came in for a closer smell and asked "Oh my goodness, what are you wearing? It smells amazing!" Then it started... All of the other ladies in the office started chiming in with statements like "I know, I've been smelling him all week and can't stop! I love the way he smells!" It went on and on from all of them. I must say, it actually started to make me feel a little uncomfortable. So you married guys, be careful. You single guys, I guess you need to be careful too, but just in a different way.

Clubman does it again, nice scent , some reviews say the scent doesn’t last long but this is after shave not cologne and there is a difference, softens up the selling smells amazing at a good price

It smells awesome. What more could you want? It isn't overwhelming and they don't keep smelling you in the hallway when you've already been gone for 5 minutes.

Smells like a bucket of hog gizzards

Try it! This has a lovely smell. It is somehow both masculine and delicate. My wife said that it seems nice. I was very hesitant to purchase this product because it is a "vanilla" scent which I usually find off-putting. When this bottle runs out, I'll be getting another. Highly recommend you try it out.

I red alot of good reviews on this one, but when I got it its smells ok, not WOW. Smells good although I can't smell the vanilla, mostly its like a light woody sense. I had big hops on it, will not buy again.

I just received this along with a bottle of Special Reserve. I wasn't impressed with the scent right out of the bottle but I shaved and gave myself a generous splash of Classic Vanilla and WOW! This stuff smells really fine and it hasn't even settled in yet. I'll have another splash an hour or so before my wife gets home and get her opinion. The burn wasn't quite as strong as Clubman but close enough to satisfy and the initial blast of scent wasn't quite as strong but it is definitely a Pinaud after shave. I love Clubman but I can tell this is going to give it a run for its money. I'm really liking this - very complex scent. Someone mentioned that this smells like Aramis and it certainly does. I had a good friend who always used Aramis and I'm very familiar with it. I've worn Gentleman Givinchy cologne since 1972 but was always tempted by Aramis. I like this just as well and there is a bit of a price difference between the two. To me, this doesn't have the barbershop smell of Clubman but is, deep, soft, full, complex, sophisticated and definitely alpha male. It has all the positive attributes of Clubman but in a different scent. You can have a change up after shave without giving up anything. I wish this came in a cologne and I wish I had known about this many years ago.Tomorrow, I will try the Special Reserve but I doubt it it will be better than Classic Vanilla. Someone said SR is a good winter AS but I don't think Classic Vanilla will warrant a seasonal restriction. I'll review SR tomorrow. I'm 66 years old and have no desire to attract any more women but I do have to shave every day.
