I gave this a 5 star because this product was exactly as I expected. Before you buy these keep in mind they are all dyed whatever color you pick, but I will say that the bookends that I received still look pretty natural unlike a few people have stated. (I'm not a geologist, but I have studied geology in college) If you're wondering I did buy the purple dyed bookends. I figured they would look the closest to natural out of all of the colors. Also THE BIGGEST THING TO KEEP IN MIND IS THE SIZE YOU PURCHASE. Some people gave low star reviews because they were smaller than expected. This is more than likely because they bought the bookends that were less than 7 pounds. If you truly want these to hold up books, you have to buy the 7+ pound book ends. I bought the 7-8 pound size, which work pretty well. I will also not for this size, that they are not huge, but they are heavy so they work well for decent sized books on short book shelves. I will suggest if you have larger sized books or a large amount of books to buy the even heavier bookends such as 8+ pounds. These are polished flat in 3 different angles, which allows you to change the angle if you would like. There is not felt attached to any of the sides, but there are rubber feet attached to the bottom of the bookends(which you could easily remove if you wanted). I was not paid or given a cheaper product for this review, I just figured I would give some insight to this product.

I bought the largest size they had of the teal color and they were very pretty in person. I was glad I ordered the largest size. The dye on these is a little strange and I did have to rinse these off, dry with paper towels and sit in the sun. After that, the teal color did not transfer anymore. I think for the price point, the manufacturer should be doing this for you, but they were fine after I washed them, so I would suggest doing the same if you order. So for me, I love the look. Besides varying a little from the picture, they were nearly exactly what I was looking for. To respond to some pervious reviews, here is my overview of the product and my thoughts. For starters, when I first opened the box I was super excited. I pulled it out and thought wow it's gorgeous. I set one piece down to pick up the other, but then I noticed, my fingers and hands were blue. When I touched the smooth/straight sides, nothing came off. It wasn't until I touched the more rough ends that I started getting blue kind of powder on my hands. I read a little more and learning from that, all I had to do to resolve the problem was rinse it under water and use a wash cloth to dry it off and get the excess powder off. After that problem was solved. Now the smooth sides where your books or items go in between had no residue to begin with. There is no worry about it rubbing off unless there is a little indent. Mine have one spot on each of them where it has kind of a hole or indent. Personally, I think it makes it look cool, but that is where some excess power hides. It doesn't rub off on anything, I already tested it. So washing them with water quickly solves the blue powder problem. Secondly, I read about how some were smaller than expected. I orders the 5-6 lbs ones. When I lifted the box, It felt correct. Then I realized that the 5-6 lbs measurement was a total measurement of the bookends. Therefore take the weight and divide it by half and that is what the individual end is. For me, 5-6 lbs was perfect. I am a college student, looking for cute bookends that would hold multiple binders containing loose-leaf books. The 5-6 lbs bookends passed the test. Next, I saw that people received bookends of different sizes. For me, yes the bookends are not identical, but I received bookends of relatively the same size. One is slightly smaller but I wouldn't say they are different sizes. I love the uniqueness of each bookend because they are not exactly the same, but they flow and still match overall. Lastly, my overall comment. After looking at stores, they were all just smooth. What I like about these is if you look under neath them, there are four rubber-like balls on each bookend to prevent sliding. For me, my desk is wood and so the balls stick really well, allowing me to use a smaller weighted bookend and it be really successful. I found that very unique and wasn't actually expecting. I also ordered the "green" color. I don't know if it is my vision or something, but this looks no where near green. To me the picture looked like a dark blue and what I received in the mail was the exact same dark blue in the image. Since the image showed the same thing, I was not surprised at all. The color is beautiful to me. I would recommend this product because although you have to wash them, it takes two minutes and the end product is amazing. They really look well on my desk and I get complements on them every time people come visit me. I gave this product 4 stars because the powder is something I didn't wish to do, but it is in no means a deal breaker. I was very pleased.

Not impressed with this purchase. Pieces are falling off and the base of one bookend was so small it is unstable.

I absolutely love these stone bookends! I originally bought them thinking I’d use them as actual bookends on my shelves, but for now, I’m using them as coffee table decor — and they look stunning. The natural geode pattern, with those beautiful white and gray bands cutting through the black stone, brings such an elegant and earthy vibe to my space. They instantly elevate the look of the coffee table, and I’ve gotten so many compliments already. Ease of Use: They’re super easy to use. Just place them on either side of your books, and they stay in place — no slipping or sliding. Even as just decorative pieces, they stand steadily and don’t feel flimsy or awkward. The cut is smooth, and the flat surfaces make placement very easy. Color: The only reason I’m giving a tiny pause is that the color was slightly different from what I expected based on the product photo. Online, it looked like it might lean a bit lighter or more gray, but in person, it’s a deeper black with striking white and gray banding. That said, it still complements my neutral decor perfectly, and honestly, the slight color variation gives it that natural, unique charm. No two pieces are ever exactly the same, and that’s part of why I love it. Sturdiness & Weight: These are HEAVY. And that’s a good thing. They feel very solid and substantial, which makes me confident they’ll hold up even heavier or larger books without tipping over. They don’t feel like cheap stone or resin knock-offs — they are the real deal. The weight also helps them stay in place wherever I decide to put them. Pros: ✔️ Stunning, natural stone pattern ✔️ Very sturdy and heavy — great quality ✔️ Works both as a functional bookend or purely decorative ✔️ Adds elegance to any shelf, table, or book stack Cons: ➖ Slight color variation from the online photo (though still beautiful) ➖ Heavy — which is mostly a pro, but worth mentioning if you plan to move them frequently Overall: This is such a beautiful piece, both practical and decorative. Whether you’re using it to hold books or just want to add some personality to your space, these geode bookends are a fantastic addition. I may eventually move them to my bookshelf for their intended purpose, but for now, they’re living happily on my coffee table. Highly recommend!

In photos, it looked okay, but in person, after taking them out of the box, they are really beautiful with warm earth-tone colors. They are solid/heavy. I purchased the (4 to 6 Lbs) Natural Agate, and I couldn't be more pleased.
