Beck/Arnley Stop Light Switch - 201-1780

Everyone should replace these switches every 10 years. Can caude all kinds of problems if it goes bad.Easy to do, inexpensive part.

Yah my brake lights work now. But now my cruise control doesn't....wowAnyone with a 98-02 honda accord beware. Im going to keep this until i can find a proper replacement that works with the cruise control. Others have been lucky and thiers work but eh i rather have my brake lights then return it now :\

So far so good. The brake lights are now working and it will shift out of park. Depending on your flexibility, this is a pain to get to, but easy to install.

I got this product to try to fix the cruise control on my car. When it was delivered to my house, it was delivered in an envelope and the small box it came in was crushed. It was a miracle the switch wasn’t broken during shipping. Before I installed this switch, the cruise control light on my dash would at least turn on, it just wouldn’t hold the speed I tried to set. When this switch was installed, the light on my dash didn’t come on at all when I tried it. We triple checked we did the installation right and we did. This switch just didn’t work at all.

Direct replacement. Fixed an intermittent problem where the brake lights wouldn't always work. Also couldn't always shift from Park to drive (had to press brake a few times till you hear the solenoid click).

My 16 year old installed the replacement switch without hang-ups. He is not the most handy, so I consider this part a success. Works perfectly.

We had problems with the OEM switch for some time, and this replacement fit in easily with minimal effort. It has now been working flawlessly for over a month. If it is still doing so after a year, I will change my rating to a 5 star.Updating to 5 star from 4. Switch is operating as designed after more than one year of daily use.

I bought this for my 1998 Honda Accord Sedan.The switch stopped working and I couldn't shift out of park. Luckily I found the shift lock release which is hidden under the plastic framing around the base of the shifter.But I simply swapped the brake light switch and now it works again.
