Impractical Price, Great Pen
I am slowly replacing all of my highlighters with these. The chisel tip is hard, and the edge can be used if a thinner one is needed. The hard chisel does soften up after about two refills, which is when I replace the entire pen with a new one. This would be a big deal, except for the fact that it's more cost saving anyway to purchase a new pen with a refill than to purchase a new refill alone.

The ink runs out, waaaayyyy too fast I can't ...
The ink runs out, waaaayyyy too fast I can't over stress that. I go to college and use it all of the time and have gone through four replacement ink packs already, in half a semester. Once all the replacements I had bought run out I will stop using it. I have used non refillable highlighters before and I can spend the whole semester with one or two if I have to read too much. And another thing the refills are almost as expensive as the actual highlghter here in amazon, which makes no sense. Buy them in eBay they are way cheaper.

Almost perfect.
I absolutely love Zebra products, and I buy their pens and pencils exclusively. This particular highlighter is probably the most disappointing Zebra product I've ever seen. The liquid highlight comes out too fast and starts warping the paper unless I highlight at top speed, and that just leads to a crooked mess. The tip is pretty small as well, this can be a pro or a con depending on your particular application. For me, I'm highlighting primarily my own small handwriting so the precision tip is a plus. The tip isn't like most other highlighters, it's very solid and won't fray or warp from use. That said, this is still the best highlighter I've ever owned. It feels great in my hand and it completes my Zebra set of writing utensils. Even just writing this review makes me want to hold the highlighter, it just feels right in my hand. The replaceable refill system means I can enjoy the beauty of stainless steel for years to come and throw less garbage into the landfill. There is no horrid odor and the liquid highlight dries fairly quickly despite the excessively thick coating. Once dry, the fluorescence is at a good level, not blinding but definitely attention getting.

Great niche product
I've always hated buying plastic highlighters and having to throw away the entire thing when they get used up or go dead. This pen solves the problem. I was originally skeptical, especially considering the price, about whether it would dry out prematurely or particularly whether the tip would go soft, fray, clog, etc. None of the fears materialized (at least in context of my pattern and intensity of use as a professor who uses it relatively lightly to mark up articles and books in preparation for lectures). Don't know how it would hold up to intense marking for hours on most days, but the two I bought last year (and another this year) are still going strong, with no evidence of failure. Does not dry out when capped, even over the summer. Intensity of ink is excellent, better than many throw-away pens. I keep them strategically placed so there's always one available when the need arises. Refills seem to last a reasonable time, although I haven't done a formal comparison with non-refillable markers. And I get a certain feeling of doing my part for the environment when I toss a pencil-thin 2 inch tube into the trash instead of a giant yellow plastic pen.

How to make inexpensive refills
Another find product that fails. For years, I have looked for a "business professional" highlighter; one that doesn't consist of mostly yellow plastic and looks like it belongs to a child. My favorite for several years is no longer being made, and this one is not the closest. This is a comparatively expensive highlighter that allows for the use of inexpensive refills to prolong its life. Sadly, those inexpensive refills are really darned expensive.HERE'S THE PRACTICALLY FREE WAY TO GET REFILLSPurchase a bottle of highlighter fluid (I went with Pelikan (30 ml. for less than a Hamilton, shipped))Use a plastic pipette to transfer from the bottle to the highlighter's capsule.(A screw type converter might work as well, but I cannot find my converters)I give only one star because it shouldn't be my job to make a product do what it is supposed to do.

Had to get the whole set...
Like so many others, I recently was introduced to the Zebra line of pen's and pencils. After recently picking up the Zebra 701 ballpoint and mechanical pencil I saw this and had to get it. It highlights very well, it's comfortable to hold/use, and it comes with an additional ink cartridge. My only concern, and only time will tell, is that since the cartridges are just a liquid ink, I'm not sure how well they will stand up to time. I don't highlight all the time so I am a little concerned that it may dry out faster than a cheap, disposable highlighter. I'll post an update as I know more. :)

Uses too much ink too fast
Nice refillable pen but it uses the ink too fast which causes you to refill more quickly the flow was designed too fast flow should be slowed down these pens are not cheap nor is the refill they are used up too quickly

Good Highlighterv
Well build. Only problem I have is that it has it runs so quickly it soaks right though the page. Guess that is to be expected. Still a good product. Love zebra writing tools.
