Dometic HWK-DC Hardwiring Kit

Mounted this in the rear of my jeep to power my refrigerator. Wired directly to dual optima yellow top batteries so its hot all the time. Relay on batteries wont let accessories drain my starting battery so no worries there. Nice device for what it is. Works as expected.

I didn’t even realize this came with the wire needed, it was a very generous amount and well made. Happy I spend the extra few dollars over cheaper options, this thing feels solid and looks great.

Swapped out the standard cigarette lighter for a USBC Outlet/Voltmeter. Installed without any issues. Just what I needed for my solar panel system. 2 PIN connector is great for constant fridge connection.

I have installed one of these in each of my vehicles in the trunk area. It is top quality and the cabling is very nice as well. I think I have purchased 4 of them. Highly recommended.

This product was recommended to us by Dometic after we reported our refrigerator using a high number of amp hours and also making some clunking sounds. It has been installed for six months and I am happy to report that the fridge is running smoother, using less amp hours and no longer clunking. Definitely worth the time and money for this upgrade.

Product works great. I have three of these. Make sure you check the connections on the back of the sockets. Red goes to positive, black goes to negative. Mine came wired incorrectly. Preferably solder the ends of the wires so it’s a bit easier to insert into the clamps.

I bought this for my Dometic refrigerator. The 12v receptacle screws in to keep it from accidentally becoming unplugged like a normal cigarette lighter plug. Now I don’t have to worry about our food going bad on us during a trip.
