Great value and performance
I was torn between corded, battery, or gasoline versions of this. I'm really glad I got the corded version. It's quiet, easy to use, light weight, and makes crisp edges on my lawn. As a bonus, you can lift up on a lever to raise the guide plate (usually guides the cut by riding along the edge of the concrete walkway) and use the machine to shallow bury a cable in a lawn, so it's a trencher too. The cut depth is easily adjusted over three settings from 1 inch to 1.5 inches. Good tool, I like it. My wife also seems to like it, so that's a big bonus for me (maybe).

Does the trick!
Pros: A great investment if you’re looking for a more professional touch. I’ve used gas edgers in the past and didn’t have high expectations for a corded unit, but this all but weightless little dude impressed with its power and performance. Although incredibly happy with my first pass, I’m 100% confident that each further usage will only clean it up better. A little back & forth in the denser soil, but no big deal. Moreover, once you get the excess soil out the first time you won’t have to deal with it again.Cons: The angle of the lever is not adjustable, and anyone taller than 5’ 10” will have to lean forward a little bit. However, it’s very light and manageable so this shouldn’t be a deal breaker. Enjoy the fruits of your labor while neighbors walk/drive by and take notice of your tidy lawn.

Powerful and reliable corded lawn edger
The WORX WG896 12 Amp Lawn Edger & Trencher is a solid tool for keeping edges clean and defined. The adjustable blade makes it easy to set different cutting depths, and the guidance wheel helps keep lines straight.Build quality feels sturdy, though it is on the loud side. Safety glasses are a must, since it can throw rocks and debris. The trigger controls speed, and operation is straightforward once you get used to it.I chose the corded version, which provides steady power but requires care not to run over the cord. Weight and size are standard for this type of tool. Overall, it’s a reliable choice for edging sidewalks, driveways, and garden beds.

Easy to use for a clean looking cut!
I do wish there was a cordless version but I'm so glad I bought this. It took some time to edge everything the first time because I had to cut the lines but it's been a breeze ever since. I just walk the perimeter of the yard and driveway and it does it's job with ease. The front wheel has three settings which determines how far down the blade cuts and the blade has two settings for edging or trenching. The handle is stationary but it can be lifted up or down. There's a guideline on top of the blade guard that helps identify where the blade is going to make the cut. TIP: Lean it back on the back wheels before pulling the trigger and slowly bring it down because it will jump if the blade isn't lined up and touches the concrete. It doesn't roll well in the grass but it's very smooth when rolled on the concrete. It's definitely worth having to give a clean and finished look. It's well built and isn't too heavy but definitely has some weight to it. It's only loud when the blade hits the concrete otherwise it sounds like a drone. The only complaint I have is that I have to watch the cord closely other than that it's the perfect tool to give a clean look to the yard.

Easy to use. Does a fantastic job. It's a workhorse machine with plenty of power for heavy-duty use.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:It has a lot of power, is easy to use, and is lightweight enough to use for extended periods without getting tired out. I used it on heavily overgrown curbs and sidewalks, and it proved to be a workhorse machine that performed well. I wish I had bought this a long time ago.

Best edger I've ever owned!
The BEST lawn edger I've ever owned! I'm tall, no back ache while using it. So easy to use. Makes perfect edging groove by sidewalk and driveway. Love it!!

Good if you're not tall.
The unit itself works great. My only issues are I am tall (6'3") but the handle length would indicate that it's designed for people 5-5 and under. Fortunately I don't have a whole lot of edging to do so I will tolerate the tired back. The other issue is, as someone else pointed out, the blade's wear out fairly quickly, but I too edge close to the concert and some asphalt so if it weren't for the handle length and blade, it would probably get 5 stars.

Very pleased with this versus my old gas-engine edger
I replaced a gas edger with this item. The gas edger was hard to start, took up a lot of space in the garage, and was not easy to use.I had a great first experience with this edger today. I needed to cut through some dense ornamental grass roots on the side of my driveway, and this handled the job nicely. Some effort was needed to push the machine, but it is light and easy to maneuver. Next, I edged around the rest of my driveway, curb, and sidewalk. It had been more than a year since my last edging. It did a fine job. My old gas edger had a longer blade and cut a bit deeper, but this was so much easier to use. It cleaned up nicely and easily, and then I hung it from a hook in my garage until next time.I have plenty of extension cords and outlets, and using a corded model was not an issue. I've had some other corded lawn equipment that was a pain because of back-and-forth patterns that were needed. Edging is just a couple of straight lines, and the cord did not get in the way or become a pain. I'm happy I saved the money on a corded model vs. buying a more expensive one that required a custom battery and charger.
