Works fine with old IBM Model M.
Works fine with my Model M. I had a Tinkerboy PS/2 to USB that was working, but one day just stopped registering key strikes. This works fine and the price was much lower. Recommend for old PS/2 keyboards. I will update the review in a few months to see how it holds up.

Works perfectly
I just finally upgraded my 20-year-old PC but needed an adapter to use my perfectly good 20-year-old keyboard. I was told the adapter would cost more than a new keyboard! It didn't take much research by this pretty computer illiterate middle-aged female to prove them very wrong! So glad I found this adapter. Very inexpensive solution and it works perfectly...just plug it in and go!

No problems
Working very well with a kvm, sharing IBM k/b with all three computers, use this 4 all PS2 to USB connections, no BS, highly recommended.

A true converter - works on macOS with IBM Model M keyboard
USB to PS/2 Keyboard / Mouse splitters are definitely NOT all created equal. Most are merely plug adapters and not true converters. And of course the vast majority are all simply generically-branded so they are hard to research and have virtually no driver support. This becomes even more of a challenge if you are wanting to use this on a macOS. After quite a bit of research I concluded that this particular unit would indeed work on a Mac. Since there are few brand names I mostly had to go by the picture, and the long (2-inch) thick part on the USB end was indicative of this being an actual converter which is what I needed to get my IBM Model M working on my Macbook. Sometimes it does glitch out and I have to tap the ALT key (mapped to the mac command-key) a few times, but this is pretty rare. TIP: For my 20+ year old Model M keyboard I remapped ALT to command, CTRL to option, and CAPS LOCK to control (very rarely used by anything on the mac), as well as PAUSE and SCROLL LOCK to be brightness down and up. This was much cheaper than buying a modern Mac-compatible Model M-style clicky keyboard from Unicomp ($120+) and I would definitely recommend this adapter over all other generic-branded ones. For PC/Windows users, you could definitely get away with a cheaper-made adapter, but for the price I would get this real converter and know that you have something that will be useful on a variety of computers. I had a couple non-brand and a logitech USB-PS2 adapter, and none of them worked at all for macOS. Even if you don't care about Mac, I've had plenty of USB-PS2 adapters over the years, and sometimes they don't even work on particular makes/models of PCs!!!, so getting a REAL converter like this is just smart.

It worked.
I bought two PS/2 to USB keyboard adapters. This one (UCEC PS/2 to USB Adapter Converter Dual Cable) worked to connect a ps2 keyboard to a usb port. The StarTech GC46MFKEY PS/2 Keyboard to USB Adapter did not, but it was described as only intended to work with a keyboard that was sold originally with an adapter, and I guess mine was not (or the adapter was faulty).

Does not work with multiple-adapter vintage keyboards
Does not work on vintage keyboards, it is lacking a USB controller for especially older keyboards where there is multiple adapters involved (DIN-5 to PS2, PS2 to USB). I had purchased the PERIPRO-401 and it has worked for my purposes. This did work somewhat but had inconsistent issues with staying connected as well since it hangs inputs and didn't let me type.
