A very useful bit of kit
Following a motorcycle accident in 2019, I often get problems with my neck, restricted movement and constant discomfort. Generally it will ease off after a couple of days, but recently the problems have been getting worse. I tried regular neck supports, but found them too rigid and uncomfortable. Someone recommend and inflatable device, so I ordered this one to try. It was absolutley brilliant. I pumped it up to a level that was helping with support, but comfortable. Leaving it on for the recommended 30 minutes, when removed there was a marked improvement in my neck and head movement, and the discomfort had significantly subsided, which lasted for the rest of the day. A couple of days after my neck started to stiffen up again, I again used this device, and after 20 minutes the relief was great. My neck is almost back to normal now, but I now know that when the next episode of trouble of occurs, normally kicked off if I make a sudden head movement, I should at least be able to get some relief until it all settles down again.

Not very effective at supporting neck
The idea is great, and really, as a cushion for plane travel, I'd probably buy it. But as a device to support my creaking neck - no, because the inflated tubes wrap around the head but leave a gap at the front that you have to secure with velcro. You simply cannot get this tight enough (without asphyxiating yourself in the process) to provide enough support under your chin. The result is that when you blow the cushion up, most of the pressure is on the back of the neck and this tends to push your head forward, which is exactly what you don't want and why you purchase this in the first place!

Pretty good, but somewhat temporary
I have many issues with my cervical spine. I got this in the hopes of relieving pressure and stopping headaches. The neck part fits fine around me, though anyone with a thicker neck may have trouble. Blue stopper doesn’t really work and keeps popping out, but mostly keeps the pressure in. It can be a little uncomfortable, but you have to expect that when you’re using it to treat pain. Feels great for an hour or two after using, but doesn’t give sustained relief. Still good to have alongside other things.

Yes! Would pay a little more for detachable pump.
I was about to spend £100 on an inversion table when I saw this. It does what it says on the tin and feels good for my battered neck. The velcro straps need to be pulled together to get a snug fit around the neck. The blue roller valve seems unnecessary as the pump itself has a valve, which you can use to precisely adjust the inflation. It would have been good to have a quick way of detaching the pump after inflating. As it is, it is too fiddly to detach and re-attach every time so I leave it on. I found that I can tuck into the pocket of the fleece vest which I often wear at home. All in all a very worthwhile investment and I'm already feeling the benefits on the first day of use! Will probably take this with me on long drives. I think it might even prevent whiplash in case of an accident!

Relieves pain without nasty meds.
I have cervical spinal damage and arthritis with compression of cervical vertebrae. This collar is helping to relieve the pressure by gentle traction and support. It's extremely comfortable and the pump allows the wearer to choose the appropriate pressure It's comfortable and effective. I've had it on today actually, as my neck and trapezium are aching. It helped a lot. Highly recommend but please don't wear the collar all the time. Follow your physio therapist's advice if necessary. But it helps if you use it in conjunction with appropriate physical stretches and neck excercises for your specific condition. If in doubt check with your osteopath, chiropractor or physio therapist. It's helping me that's all I can say. It beats popping meds all the time.
