This is the best product I have ever used for black hair. It really softens the hair and makes it very manageable especially during the combing process. I have used this product since the 80's and there is nothing like it. All you need to do is spray a little on the hair, rub it in, comb it out, and you're done. It stays in for many days after application and it keeps your hair very soft soft. It can be also used to prevent the hair from drying out and splitting at the ends. Don't put too much on or else your hair will become too oily. All you need is just maybe 3 sprays and you're set. This helped my fro's maintain a nice healthy and soft texture. I sear by this product. If you wear your hair in braids, this product will be a relief from an itchy dry scalp also. I use this product with a K cutter comb or the black fist natural afro comb.....Just keepin' it real ya'll....

Been using since the 80's. Best dry hair/scalp moisturizer ever. No oily feel and no overwhelming smell Not sure why the manufacturer have discontinued. Is there an ingredient that can no longer be used?

I tried this on very dry 3c hair that was frizzy and impossible to comb without the use of water. I decided to use this spray without wetting the hair with water just to try it out. When I sprayed the product, it just disappeared into the hair. I could not see or feel any difference in the hair. I was frustrated and thought the product didn't work. I braided the hair into a protective style and called it a day. The next day, I decided to spray the hair with more of this product. I did not take the braids down, I just sprayed and massaged it into the hair/scalp. I continued to do this for six days. On the seventh day, I took down the braids and to my surprise the hair was very soft and manageable. I was able to get the comb through the hair without water. This stuff actually works, you just have to give your hair time to absorb and be repaired by the product. The smell of this product is fine and is a bit nostalgic. This is the same product I saw my father use when I was little. I'm glad to see this product is still around and working well. If you're using this product and it's dripping or you're gagging from the smell, then you've used way too much too fast. Spray, massage, repeat(if needed).

The product smells good, moisturizes extremely well, promotes my hair growth and it is light enough to use every day which I appreciate because I need to moisturize my hair every single day.I just think the price is ridiculous and that these sellers are taking advantage of the fact that the product is in high demand but not being produced at the same rate.

BEST MOISTURIZER of all time.I used it for my Jeri Curl for 30+ yrs. ( 80s, 90s and 2000s. Now that I'm all natural, it keeps my hair soft, moisturized and it's light weight for whatever style I'm wearing. It also helps with detanglng. I stopped using all those expensive products. Now, I only use Sta Sof Fro. In fact, after a little spray in the morning, I don't even need to comb, just finger comb..Another benefit is "HAIR GROWTH"! Yes, it helps with hair breakage, dry hair and scalp.I Moisturizer with, SSF.Then a good leave in- conditioner, and then I finish with a light gel for egdes. Style and Go!My hair is soft, long, and it has such beautiful body.No,"IT'S NOT GREASIE" or heavy.Try it, I promise you will love your hair again.!!!

Very good as a moisturizer on the hair.

For moisture and nutrients this product is the best. It only takes a small amount. Its great for african Americans natural texture or processed permed curly hair. Its also great for naturally curly hair. You can either spray directly onto hair in hand and rub gently into hair. Do not over saturate.

I like the smell of it. I don't like the heaviness on my hair after. It feels sticky like. I would prefer a lighter product.
