GhirardelliSauce Pump 0.5 oz for use with 87.3 to 90.4 fluid ounce sauce bottles

Pump works great! Excited to keep using it!

Not even able to use it. Brand new and it doesn't work, can't return or get a refund either. For the price of these, they are crap. This is the second one in less than a month and sad is this one is literally opened and not working...

I take a lot of care when leaving reviews as I read a lot of them before I make a purchase. Sometimes you get a bad apple. I had ordered one of these with my jug of Ghirardelli White Chocolate Sauce (which is simply AMAZING). When I first opened it, assembled the tube to the pump and stuck it into the jug, it pumped out fine. It worked for a couple days and then it stopped pumping chocolate. This was a brand new jug of sauce so the tube was submersed in the chocolate sauce by a lot. I pulled it out, cleaned it and tried again. I never got it to pump again. The next time I needed more sauce, I ordered another of the same pumps with it. Again, it worked for a couple days and quit pumping entirely. Its all cheap plastic for one, other than a spring. Unless I got 2 bad pumps in a row, I would venture to say these don't work like they should. I just use a measuring spoon.

I had a caramel apple bar for Thanksgiving and bought this to use with the large container of caramel sauce. This was definitely the way to go. The mess was nonexistent, children and elderly both could easily use the pump, and clean up was a breeze. It is sturdy and I plan to use it again and again.

After I received it, it wasn’t pumping the syrup or even water. After quite a lot of troubleshooting, I figured out if I flipped it upside down and put water in the tube, then pumped, liquid started flowing through it. Now it works just fine. I think it was possibly an air pocket or a misaligned valve.

This pump works great with the Ghirardelli sauces! We have the caramel sauce. I read the other reviews but decided to purchase anyway, rather than try to find another pump. I am glad I did. I got the sauce (90oz) directly from Ghirardelli. This pump does not go all the way to the bottom, but I believe this is meant for the 64oz containers. Some reviews mentioned about the pump curving at the bottom. The one I got does not. It is a straight, solid pump. It comes apart for cleaning. I usually just run the Keurig with hot water and pump the hot water through it to clean out the syrup. The the rest of the cleaning is easy. When not in use, I usually just put saran wrap around the tip to keep the pump from drying up. I have not had any issues. I have used it quite frequently for the last 6 months. Last weekend, we used it at a festival and went through 2 1/2 containers (90oz) using the one pump. So it has handled heavy, repeated use. I ordered another one just as a backup...to make it easier to switch to new jug without the delay.

***Updated review***It lasted nearly 3 years, and then cleaning it out whether by hand or dishwasher did nothing anymore. It got all gummed up inside and I was not able to clean it out after frequent use for more than 2 years. The very inside part cannot be reached and cleaned, even after taking as much of it apart as I could. Good product, but needs improvement. Debating if I should buy another. I still think that for the $12 I paid, it lasted quite a while.*******This works great, and is fairly easy to clean if need be. I use it every day, so it doesn't have time to dry out or clump up. However, I did clean it out once, rinsed it through and immersed the pump end into a cup of hot water, pump it a few times until the contained is empty and then a few more times to clear out the liquid and it was back to business. Perfect for its purpose and it fits the 87 ounce chocolate sauce bottles of Ghirardelli that I get twice a month (drink a lot of mochas =)

I bought a gallon of Carmel from the Costco business center and added this pump now I’m 20 pounds heavier eating Carmel with everything because it’s so easy to use. I’d keep this at the back of the counter if you have kids because it doesn’t take much effort to push the pump down. This pump also doesn’t dribble which is great since there’s no cleanup needed.
