Fits perfect in his doghouse. I always order from Petmate as there will not be any pet scents on the item. It comes in cellophane and you know that no animal has touched it. My Dobie will shred the mat if I get it from the store here. Mainly because others have allowed their pets to lay on it. My Dobie does not like that and I would think that no animal does! Overall great product; adequate level of thickness and support. The external vinyl covering is good and seemingly durable quality. Has almost a leathery feel which means it will be warm (a factor if it gets warm where your pet will be because it could become uncomfortably hot). Definitely a recommended product.

It fit perfectly in the dog house. I thought it was going to be exactly what I wanted. However, it lasted not even five minutes. The material ripped after my dog pawed at it three times. I didn’t let her keep scratching it either. I was trying to throw a blanket over top. Once she found the foam, it was all over. I would not recommend this product.

Only had a few days. German shepherds enjoying so far. I think I bought this a few years back and it ripped pretty quickly. Will update if it wears out prematurely but so far my dogs appreciate it and price fairly reasonable.

I bought this item for my dog, received it, he slept on it one night and it ripped apart. For the price that this costs, I expected it to stand up to the weight of a 70 pound dog. The cover material is thin. I recieved it one day, shipped it back the next day. But, on the plus side, when I put it in my dog's house, it fit snug up against the sides of it.

My 8 month old Rottweiler like the pad til 1 day I went out and he destroyed the mat. Chewed it 2 bits. The price I payed for the mat was worth it. I know now he wants nothing in his igloo.

Dogs like to dig, helps them release some anxiety, gives them something to do, provides some insulation from the elements, allows them to hide their valuables, you know, lots of reasons. And I know the manufacturer cannot be expected to have the formula for the magically durable yet comfortable material that will withstand the digging of a 90 pound killer, but my guy files his claws down on the pavement 30 minutes daily, and doesn't do much to excess (isn't much of a barker, doesn't beg, doesn't overeat, doesn't bother anyone really, just likes to sleep), and yet I found this thing all shredded up on the first day that I left it with him while I was off to work. I used some heavy duty duct tape to patch up the damage and scolded him firmly for the mess and that was that for a little while. Slowly but surely, the tape started giving and the vinyl started getting pulled back from the foam innards again. Eventually I dumped the whole thing in the trash and I think he may even prefer his igloo bare.

Pad was just what we needed for the dog house, however, our dog has managed to tear it up and has been trying hard to take it out of the dog house. The shape of the pad is what prevents our dog from easily taking it out but he has managed to tear up the front part of the pad.
