Works great, great value
Pros: Works great for voice chat in games, Discord and Google Meets. Fits snugly in my Philips SHB9500 headphones. In line volume control and mute are nice to have. Braided cable is high quality and doesn't snag on the edge of my desk. Cons: Default 4-pole connector on the input side is incompatible with my PCs HD audio jacks and DAC. Breakout splitter works, but the distance between mic and headphone inputs is very short and features a right angle connector, which is straining the cable when both are plugged in. Overall: Fantastic solution for using high quality headphones as a headset for gaming or productivity. Would buy again, would recommend over the Antlion ModMic or similar as a much more cost effective solution that maintains good audio quality.

Great for converting headphones into headsets
The product plugs into any headphones that has non-proprietary 3,5mm trs jacks (For proprietary versions like bose or senheissers there is a variant available). It includes a microphone and an inline volume control that has a hardware mute switch. If your computer does not detect the microphone, verify that your mute switch is set to the microphone-active position. Some devices do not recognoze the microphone ifnot is plugged with the switch in the Microphone-off position. The cable is braided, and seems to be of proper quality. While it is by no means a luxury item, it has served me well for years.

Great alternative to a gaming headset
I own a pair of Sony 1000XM3 noise cancelling headphones, and recently started playing more multiplayer games on my xbox one. I was about to sink another $100-$200 on a gaming headset, but decided to add this adapter instead. It works GREAT, no issues. I was originally concerned that the cord would be annoying, but it actually provides pretty good sound latency . The microphone wire is sturdy and stays in any position. Only minor thing is that the mic wind screen is too big and falls off.

Incredible solution to upgrade my gaming experience
I've given in gaming online 5 years and now I decide to play again! I tried to find the best possible solution to upgrade my 3.5mm headphone with a built-in microphone and volume control. This item fits the bill, so I purchased this and now I'm so satisfied with it. Pros: - Comes with an extremely flexible microphone. So thin but also very durable. It will bend into whatever shape you need it to. - Fits perfectly with controller of Xbox one and my 3.5mm headphones. - The sound quality was awesome. People say the quality is amazing!!! - It also comes with a PC Y-Adapter which is 6-10 dollars one Amazon. Now you just pay less than 20 dollars to have it with a perfect gaming microphone and volume control. Cons: Nothing to complain about. I'll updated here if any issues.

Good quality microphone, but too much leakage
This microphone sounds good and works great with headphones that have a detachable cable such as the Philips SHP9500. However, when I connect this mic to my various devices I find that the stereo signal going out to the headphones leaks too much into the microphone. I'm not sure if this is happening because of capacitive coupling since the low voltage microphone signal is running along a cable right next to the higher voltage line-level stereo signal, or if it's because my devices don't have a solid ground, or for some other technical reason I don't fully understand because I'm not well versed in audio engineering. Either way, the feedback can be bad enough that people I talk to online experience significant echo. The problem becomes much, much worse if I use a TRRS extension cable, which I found to be necessary because the cable on this mic isn't that long. I don't think this is happening because my microphone is defective. I've tested two of them, and they both had the same problem. Other cheap headsets I've tested seem to have the same problem as well! Seems likely that the various wires inside the cable just aren't shielded well enough. I'm not sure why I'm having so much trouble with this when other people apparently aren't. I've tested this microphone with multiple devices and they all had the same problem to varying degrees. Generally if I plug the mic directly into a TRRS port on my laptop or computer the echo is low enough as to not cause problems. However, if I use the included TRRS splitter, an extension cable, or a USB audio adapter with a TRRS port, the problem is bad enough that I can't conduct voice calls without there being serious echo. Some services work better than others. Discord is able to handle it if I adjust its settings enough; FaceTime cannot handle it at all. All in all, there's a real advantage to having the mic cable be separate from the headphone cable. Your mileage may vary, though.

Works great with shp9500 from philips
Fit my Philips SHP9500 perfectly. I use it for CSGO and zoom and it works just fine. Boom rotates easily but does not seem likely to unplug on accident. Cons: cable a bit shorter than ideal for my setup. If mic is too far from my mouth it doesnt pickup sound, might just need to tweak settings a bit though... Update after 1 year and 9 months: Went through a period where microphone working was hit or miss with PC settings, and did not connect well to headset. Somehow it got better now. It still doesnt pick up sound well if I dont have it directly in front of my mouth, which is difficult to do as the boom is barely long enough for my headset setup. Looking for an alternative mostly due to boom length, otherwise still works fine Update after 3.5 years: gave up on the bad connector and got another one of these microphones after trying another type and not liking it. Only issue I had with this one was a bad connector to the headset that I kept having to fiddle with to fix the sound. New one sounds perfect, same headset. The foam for the microphone is long gone, probably a year ago.

Works great with my sony Xm3

It came in a box that was unsealed and didn't have any manual inside. The packaging is very different from what I saw in unboxing videos. On the technical side, it works quite as expected. I tested it on a Mac, Android, and PC and the audio quality is more than enough for meetings, which is what I bought it for. It doesn't pick up the noise of my computer fan and aircon.

I ordered several replacement mics from different sellers for my Beyerdynamics headset alredy. The headset is in daily, heavy use. Its been ~6 months since i ordered it wich possibly equates to several years for a casual user. This is by far the best one yet! Solid sound and build quality and solid 5 stars.
