Great product!!
I have several of these drives. They are easy to use. Great instructions included. I have backed up years and years of family memories. I highly recommend.

So far so good
I take FAR too many photos with my phone! It’s hard to stop myself until I use up ALL my memory on it! (Which happens quite regularly).I’d purchased a Blanbok memory flash stick a few months ago and was using it to transfer/save my photos from my iPhone (8). It was working great until something happened last week, and now I’ve tried everything the seller recommends to fix the problem & it still won’t copy photos to the device anymore.I just got this JD Drive photo stick a few days ago. It’s not as easy to create folders and they’re more of a learning curve with it, but the seller does have some YouTube tutorials which are helpful. The BEST thing for me so far, in the few days I’ve been using it, is the BACKUP feature!!! It took several days to back up all 37,600 photos & videos on my iPhone, but now they’re all safe! I’m traveling away from home and have a small hard drive I’m putting the backup on as well- just to make sure my photos are safe in 2 places before I start deleting them off my phone. To do the backup, at first I was scared & kept stopping because of the message on the page about how much could be deleted. The wording made me unsure if it was automatically deleting what it was backing up. After watching the tutorial video, I found out it’s just telling you how many photos have been backed up that you COULD delete them IF you want to.The other thing that’s great about this memory stick is that it stays plugged in better. I was able to keep my phone in my pocket while the stick was busy backing up. I was able to back up around 5000-10,000 every full phone charge (depending on how large the photo or video file was and also how completely my phone was charged. It did take several hours each time, and multiple days, to back up all 37,000 photos. (At one time recently, I had 42,000!)Another positive is that I was able to do other things on my phone or even turn the screen off and it would keep backing up in the background. And it knew which photos & how many were left to be backed up each time I restarted the process. It makes a backup of each album you have in your iPhone. You can also back up your contacts. And you can backup your iPad.I haven’t tried this yet for watching movies on my iPad, which I’d like to do. That’s next to try.I’ve only had this less than a week and the Blanbok drive was working great for 5 months. So time will tell if this continues to work. But at least I know I’ve got my precious memories backed up and safe.

Good product, but crashes app
The drive itself is made with good quality metal. Its slender design makes it easy to store and quite durable. When it comes to connectivity however it can be finicky. The app associated with the drive crashes A LOT. I can be in the middle of a transfer and it crashes. None of my files seem to be damage, but it’s still really annoying. I use it for strictly removing pictures from my phone and I transfer about 1000 at a time and it does it pretty quickly in my opinion. However, if it crashes in the middle of this transfer… well that’s annoying. It will also crash if I’m going through photos that have already been transferred to the drive making it hard to go back to see what’s on it. Overall, it’s good product. I just wish it wouldn’t crash so much.

Compatibility issues with iPad models
This drive is NOT supported by the iPad Pro 12-inch screen size. I wish they would add a compatibility check in the description because returning an item becomes a chore. Amazon rejects many reasons for return, with some policy-related reasons ( it was NOT like that before), until you hit upon one (drop-down menu) which is acceptable. One reviewer suggests reformatting the drive, but that did not work either. The manual is like a book. It's easier to find instructions on YouTube. Buy this storage device at your own risk.

Meh
This was quite difficult (stubborn little thing) to use. At first, I thought it would be simple, so I just stuck the thing in my iphone 11 and attempted to transfer files over to the stick, then over to my laptop. I did not delete anything on my phone in case anything goes wrong. To my surprise, it did not transfer all of it (343 out of 2438 photos/vids). Looking at the instructions, there are just too many pages to go through. I do not have time to read it as I have family over and I need the space on my phone for videos and pics. Those precious moments means no time's a wastin'! When I quickly scanned through the little booklet, I read "formatting", and so I did. That seemed to do the trick as it transferred MOST of the pics. I copied/pasted the files into my laptop's hard drive, went over the pics on BOTH my laptop and phone. If I see any of the photos/vids that were transferred, I deleted them off my phone. So it's good at this point. Problem is...the stick did not pick up ALL of my iphone pics. I've repeated this process with just the photos; for some reason the video files have changed its properties on my laptop's hard drive, but that is my doing and I've solved it (this has a lot to do with the programs your computer already have and NOTHING to do with the stick). I then painstakingly worked on the video files next on my phone and made a separate folder in my laptop's hard drive. This trick seems to work with me; it might be different for others. So far...so good. It's a pain, but I seriously need the space on my phone, like right now.Next thing on my list of problems is ejecting the stick off my laptop. Because it automatically backs up into my Dropbox -- which I'm trying to get out of cause it's a pain -- it takes FOREVER to eject the stick. I do not know how to turn off this feature, but I'm pretty sure someone out there has figured it out.As you can see, I can be quite impatient for something that is SUPPOSED to be easy to use and if it requires a lot of reading, then there's too much time being wasted.Three stars for:- photo transferring is pretty quick- once you get the hang of it and figure it out, then it's golden- convenienceMinus two stars for:- a booklet that can turn into a novel- not as easy as it seems- having to be creative with the way my computer and the stick communicate
