Deco Brothers Wall Mount Extendable Mirror, 8 Inch Double Sided with 7X Magnification, Nickel

I'm really happy with this mirror. I looked at several different ones and opted for this one because it had the extra extension. I'm glad I did! The extra-long arm allows you to see your hair from many different angles. It was relatively easy to install and came with everything you need. I screwed it into a stud for extra stability and it's great. The mirror is good quality. I bought the brushed nickel color. The magnifying side is 7X and seems about right. I haven't noticed any distortion. I bought it mostly to help me see the back of my hair while trimming it and I'm very happy. :)

I did HOURS of research, looking in stores, on Amazon and other websites before I purchased this mirror. I wanted a longer swing-arm so that I could mount at the outer edge of the adjacent cabinet at eye level, in order to use the non-magnified side for "rearview" hair drying and styling. This works well for the purpose, without being so long that it would be too heavy and unbalanced for the mounting hardware to support. I mounted it using longer screws with toggle bolts/butterfly anchors inside the cabinet. It is very secure mounted this way. The mirror is sturdy and looks good, but unobtrusive, pushed back against the cabinet when not in use. I do wish it had been available in a chrome finish to match my retro bath fixtures, but this looks fine and seems to be of a higher quality than many others available. The magnification is ideal for makeup.

Arrived promptly - Price was right - Quality item - very pleased overall: I spent a good deal of time looking for something like this, mostly online, but also a few box stores. I found one for a lot more money with a "chrome" finish which appeared to be the "chrome over plastic" often used in auto interiors - not built to last. After much consideration I purchased it on Amazon marketplace. It came in a matter of days, and by Priority Mail which made it happen, no doubt. I was OK with the price when I bought it, but more than OK when I received it, and it was a lot less than some. What impressed me was the quality and I don't impress easily - and seldom write reviews. Pleasantly surprised might be a better choice of words. I was careful not to buy junk, but considering the price it was WAY better than I expected. I purchased the nickel finish. It has a good look. The movement is tight and appears to be made to stay that way. The mirrors are excellent, but be sure you know what you are looking for in magnification. I chose the 7x magnification, thinking it was mid-range. Maybe it is what I was looking at, but I was seeing far more than I wanted. me. I am not sorry I went with 7x, but 5x might be a consideration for some. If I ever need to find a spec of dirt on my eyeball I know where to start!

I needed an accordion mirror in one of my rental units because the sink is placed directly under a window. Therefore, the only option to have a mirror over the sink was to have an accordion mirror. After reviewing all of the mirror's on amazon, I opted for this one. It's very heavy and doesn't swivel very easily - this was a pro in my opinion because I don't want my tenants swinging the mirror to and fro haphazardly. Instillation was very easy and came with a couple sizes of screws and drywall anchors. The first step into screw the metal brace into the wall. Once that's in the mirror and cover plate go onto the metal brace and the two screw knobs screw into the metal brace. No matter what I tried or how tightly I screwed the knobs the cover plate wiggles back and forth. The mirror wouldn't come down by any means but it was disappointing after paying $26 for what I thought was a more quality mirror that it isn't more secure. Otherwise, my tenant is very happy and says the magnification on the one side is amazing.

Great product. Love the dual sides with regular and 7x magnification. Easy to install. Arrived quickly.

Very pleased with quality and price. For a secure mounting here are the steps I followed and suggest. Holding the mirror - Pick a general location where the light is right for using the mirror - Mark the proper height on the wall. Use a stud finder to locate solid wood behind the sheet rock. Mark this location. Select two screws that fit the holes in the bracket and are long enough to go thru the sheet rock and far enough into the wood for a solid mount. Use a level to vertically position the mounting bracket and mark the holes. Screw bracket onto the wall. Secure the mirror with cap nuts. A little oil on the hinges to make it move freely. It should look level when extended if you were careful leveling the bracket vertically. See if the wife is happy with your new toy and she might also use it at least once.

I love this mirror! It is beautiful, and truly is a brushed nickel color. I momentarily panicked when I saw the picture on the mirror's box, since the color of the mirror on the box was closer to copper than to nickel., but opening the box, I saw that it is exactly the color I wanted. I bought the identical mirror around ten years ago, with a chrome finish, and it served me really well. I would have loved to have hung it up in my new apartment, but when I moved, I lost a part crucial to its installation. I had hoped that when I received this mirror, I would be able to order that part, and hang my chrome mirror in my daughter's bathroom, but I will say that my only complaint is that I cannot contact the manufacturer. I tried registering my new mirror, but the order number I had was not recognized, so I was unable to explore the Deco Brothers website. (Apparently,the website is only accessible if you've registered a product with them.) So, aside from that frustration, I will say that the quality of this mirror is exceptional! I use it to cut my hair, and I can see my entire head by repositioning the mirror. I could not recommended this more strongly!
