Size:3 Ounce, (Pack of 12) Versachem Hi-Temp Red Silicone is a high performance gasketing material that cures into a strong silicone rubber that is excellent for filling, sealing, bonding or weatherproofing. This moisture curing silicone maintains long term durability and flexibility, resists aging and weathering, and will not harden, shrink or crack. Works best on gaskets on valve covers, water pumps, oil pans, rear end covers, and thermostats. The OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) approved formula is low volatile, oxygen sensor safe, and resistant to oil, water and antifreeze mixtures. Tensile strength of 310 PSI, and a temperature range of -65F to 600F (continuous), and -65F to 650F (intermittent).

Induced motor sealant
At $2 each it’s a great deal. Seems to work great for inducer motors

Good Product
Good Price. Easy to work with. Used this in place of a cork valve cover gasket. Actually works better than a cork gasket.

Good adhesion after cure but poor initial tack.
I used the High Temp Red to reapply plastic or nylon cable tie mounting pads that are mounted in the engine bay to the metal inner fenders to hold wiring that I added in a Jeep JKU 2017. These self adhesive 2 sided tape pads came loose after repeated engine bay heat and vibration cycles. I reapplied the pads using the High Temp Red. Read on for my results. -- The pads were installed under the hood in the engine bay near the battery to holder to secure DC wiring I added to power a HAM radio in the cab. -- After removing the old tape from the pad and the metal fender I cleaned with alcohol as stated in the instructions. -- After adding a layer of High Temp silicon to the pad, I let it sit for 10 minutes before applying, again as stated in the instructions. I presume this is to allow the silicon to build up some initial tack to hold in place. (see picture) -- When first attaching the pads to the fender I found that the initial tack was poor and that the pad, depending on its position, would not stay in place unless temporarily taped down. Perhaps more initial cure time would have helped the grip. -- After curing overnight, the pads were very secure and I could not easily pull them up with my bare hands so I am hopeful this is a good solution. -- After many days of cold and driving the Jeep well long enough to get the engine compartment hot, the Versachem 65309 is still doing a good job of holding in place. Very pleased. Conclusion:Good adhesion after cure but poor initial tack may require temporary clamping in place.
