This valve lasts forever. Great value, hands down.
It does exactly what it's supposed to do and it does it without fail for years. I've had mine for over 10 years. I bought another one just to have a back up two years ago. Well worth the money. I use it for filling a 300 gallon tank for pressure washing that when driven down the road takes quite a beating. Lever type toilet valves bounce around and break apart after being on the road a while. But a Hudson valve lasts for years. Every now and then I get a lizard or a frog stuck up in there and I have to take it apart to clean it but if you use a rubber gasket with a strainer at the end of your water hose, you shouldn't have that problem.

Solid
I have yet to use item, but it is solid. I think it could survive a truck running over it. I was impressed.I will keep the 5 star rating until I set it up and use it. If it fails to live up to it's potential I will change it's rating. I will comment good or bad later.Just be careful to not lose the small filter that sits loose on top of the valve cap. I almost did.It was apparently worth spending a bit more to get a better product.

Poor quality, 100% failure rate.
Bought 2 for stock tanks. They are light weight and cheaply constructed. This one worked ok for about a month, then readomly failed. The second one did not work at all. When they fail, the water doesn't stop and overflows the top of the tank; making a mess and wasting water. Looking for a better product.
