It's one of the most beautifully designed studies I've ever seen!
This Advent bible study is a beautiful way of keeping us focused on Christ as we prepare for Christmas together. It's one of the most beautifully designed studies I've ever seen! The book is printed on sturdy paper with gold and red accent colors. Fabulous photos with Christmas crafts and activities are like small gifts hidden inside each chapter. Within the different crafts I found three categories: adults, teens and kids. Some of the crafts I worked on with my family were the "Peaceful Jar" and the "Spice Wreath."Most impressive with this study is the sense of unity from the 24 contributors of Lifeway Women. Cover to cover, the book is overflowing in love and sisterhood. The Biblical structure is sound theology. I found myself turning pages of my Bible, journaling as I worked through the chapters, and captivated by the message of waiting for Jesus. With hope.After completing an independent study, I'm excited to repeat the study with my friends soon. We'll gather around the table and find peace for our weary souls. Thank you to Lifeway Women for designing this beautiful gift!

Beautiful book, below average study
The book itself is gorgeous, including fun, seasonal activities. I love opening the book each day to do the study purely because of how beautiful the book is.However, if you were to take away the pretty pictures, fonts and seasonal activities, you would be left with a not-so-great study. There are a total of 20 daily studies (5 days per week, 4 weeks of advent), which are each written by a different author. A handful of the authors dug into scripture, pointed to God, and focused on convicting, important topics. I enjoyed those days of study, which happened maybe 1/5 days per week. The rest of the studies were watery, feelings-oriented, story-led, and sprinkled scripture into a narrative, rather than expositing a text.Additionally, the group component isn’t great. I did this study with two other women, and the guided discussion questions did not do a good job of covering the material in the daily studies.I hope that Lifeway considers creating a future advent study that is more theologically rich and expositional, hopefully with an improved group component.

Rich devotional for Advent
This devotional is a gem. Combining the talents of many different authors who lead you on a journey of discovery of Jesus and also of yourself. While written for a female audience the truths transcend gender. I gave a copy to a pastor who reported that he found it very insightful, uplifting and healing and just what he needed this advent. (He skipped the craft/family activities though!)

Interesting study
This study is a great one for just before Christmas. It focuses on the 4 weeks, each with a characteristic of Advent: Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love. Each one is written from a woman's perspective, but not limited to feminine use. I enjoyed it very much!

Wonderful Advent Study
Beautiful study for the Advent season. The pages and binding are very well made. I have really enjoyed it so far this season with my Bible Study group and family.

Wonderful reminder to refocus on true meaning of Christmas!
Beautifully printed and an deep study of the Anticipated arrival of Advent! I love this for my ladies group and plan to use content to discuss with my kids. Excellent reminder to refocus on the true meaning of Christmas.

Excellent study for Advent!
This was a perfect study for my weekly group of 8 women as we approached Christmas; saw Advent with fresh eyes.
