This was a Christmas gift and it worked perfectly right out of the box. It hooked up easily, no setup issues, and feels solid while using it. The buttons respond well and it holds connection with no problems. Great value for the price and a solid controller overall.

Worked nicely for my laptop and could be used for most of my games on there. Worked best for stuff that was in Xbox in the past which is what I bought it for so serving it's purpose nicely. Had to fiddle around a bit since it didn't worked on the extension USB thing I got, but works great on the USB in the laptop itself. So it's a issue with the extension which has been a case for many. Comfortable with a good grip and buttons that work.

I just got it because I'm an old school keyboard and mouse gamer, and recently got ESO. I decided to train myself to use a controller. I didn't want to spend a lot, for something I figured would gather dust and not get used. Surprisingly it's not that hard. I can already function after one night with it. I still use the KB for all the maps and menus, but yeah, I read the bad reviews... Yes it's cheap, doesn't feel substantial, and seems like it may break easily, but for the $17 bucks it tells me what I need to know. Now I can spend $30 on a $40 controller that will last better, and this was all I needed to see if it would work for me. The new MSI controller is wireless, so this can be a backup, or for use when the other is charging. For $20 tops, this thing works, will get you going and probably last a couple of months. Mind you I do not play consoles anywhere, nor use controllers, though I have seen and held many. This is in no way as good and the sticks are very light touch, but as stated, for the price it does the job, and if you just need a backup, or something for a month or two while you save to buy one you really want, I'd spend the bucks, it's not much to lose and I find it a good value for that alone.

My main reason for purchasing a new xbox 360 controller was to find one that closely matched the build quality and descent d-pad compared to the official xbox 360 controller which are no longer in production. The main factor being that I would be using the new controller for fighting games. Let me start by saying that at first it kind of felt a bit stiff or strange. The buttons felt a bit hard to press or get the inputs. Kind of like needing a bit effort with push downs to register the buttons. Same with the d-pad. The d-pad did felt a little stiff at first. But after a week of playing with it, the d-pad started to kind of fix itself or adjust to my liking. The buttons also started feeling more smooth when tapping or pressing them eventually. I'll go as far and say I was able to complete Dead or Alive 5's survival legendary mode 100 wins with this controller. Where correct inputs and no room for much input mistakes is required to complete such a task in Dead or Alive 5. So this controller gets my seal of approval. For having a very good or descent d-pad that constantly gets my inputs in fighting games very accurate or correctly. The buttons are also consistent now. I rarely ever drop combos with this controller. If I do, I mostly know it's mainly because I missed up and not the controller's fault. I never had a disconnection issue at all. Except the first time I connected it to my console. I had to turn on my console so it could detect it or register it as a controller. But yeah being able pull off hard trails or input exercises commands in fighting games successful with this controller is very satisfactory to me in terms of quality for this controller. I am actually looking forward to getting another controller in the near future as a spared one. Probably getting the pink one. Also I would like to try out the wireless ones. To see how well they fare compared to the wired controller I own. My only small complain is the cord length feels a little shorter than the original xbox 360 wired controller. I wish it was just a little bit more longer. But it's not really a big issue in the end since I don't sit that far from my gaming TV. Overall I love this controller, it does it's job for the fighting games I play on the xbox 360 that I play on a pad or controller.

Excellent controller at a great price, no complaints.

I am extremely happy with this controller. I use it for gaming on my laptop. It is a sturdy material, does not feel cheap, stays in my grip nicely. No need to install anything, just plug it into your computer which makes battery life non existant. I have only tried it with my gaming laptop so i find the compatibility with my laptop well done. This is going to be strange in saying the connectivity problem I am having WHICH IS NOT NEGATIVE, just a silly one. My old controller i was used to leaving it plugged in at all times and had no issue going back and forth between keyboard and controller. With this one, I have to unplug it if the game I am playing also supports controller and I want to use the keyboard because the game won't recognize my keyboard with this specific controller plugged in. Again, not a negative!

The product looks and feels great, as any game controller should. It seems very durable and surprisingly well made for the price. The bumpers feel like they can take a lot of clicks, the pad sensitivity is good and the buttons function properly. The size and weight are also good. The problem we found was in the default settings for the joysticks, which felt overly sensitive, making it very difficult for both turning movements and aiming during gameplay. Adjusting internal game settings in multiple games for stick sensitivity or deadzone did little to change this. In short, we gave it our best shot (no pun intended) and came to the conclusion that this product does not function as well as other similarly priced products fresh out of the box. As for the star rating system here, it was difficult to decide on the number of stars because when it comes to a game controller, we believe it either works or it doesn't. However, we felt it was fair to give a mid rating based on the quality of the rest of the product.

Great controller to use with both my PC and my Xbox 360. I started playing games on my PC again during the pandemic and while most games do work fine with a keyboard and mouse combo, others are designed to work best with a game pad. While I resisted getting one for a long time, I finally decided that one was really needed to get the full enjoyment from my games, so after checking out the reviews and specs of many pads here on Amazon I ordered this one, and I am very satisfied with my decision. It feels great in my hands, very comfortable and the buttons are very smooth and never stick or jam when pressed. The joysticks are as precise as anyone would want or need, and it just works as well as an original MS game pad would work. Now all I have to do is to get used to using a game pad again because it has been ages since I even played games on my Xbox. So far everything works great and any problems I have are related to my own incompetence, not the quality of the pad. If you are looking for one, you won't go wrong with this one.

Got this to play console games on my PC. Worked great without any need for drivers or third party software. Plug and play. The feel and quality of the controller are good. Works just as I wanted.

Works perfectly for playing games on Steam. Really nice quality - nothing flimsy, decent weight to it and a fairly long wire. Definitely would recommend for the price
