Nice and bright!
This was exactly what we wanted. Not overly flashy, just a nice bright puff of smoke. I really like that it came with both pink and blue so that we could use one for practice. Best results - don't be too far away. I think my husband shot it at a 4-6ft range with a shotgun.

Fun!
Had a ball finding out my second child was another girl 🤣 and our first baby dropped and busted the blue one😐

Worked great for us - but know these tips!
After reading other reviews we made sure to (1) buy two and also (2) use a shotgun to shoot the ball, not a handgun or rifle. You need two of the target balls to have a larger “puff” of a chalk cloud. We also purchased two in case that one of the clay target balls was damaged while being shipped. For us though, both cane in perfectly. Per the directions, we used a shotgun and shot the target balls from 36 feet.

One came broken
One can’ came broken but it wasn’t the one we needed so we still used it.

Lesson learned
We surprised my FIL with a new “target” and he used an AR15, which we thought would cause a bigger cloud. It definitely did not! The bullet went straight through the target and only a tiny puff of powder came out. Everyone saw it was pink but, it was very underwhelming. Just for fun, the boy taped the holes up because there was still quite a bit of powder left. They then rehung it and let my FIL shoot it with a 20g shotgun and the results were much better. Wish we would have done that to start with because we wanted to share with family who live far away and our reveal video was awful.

Disappointing
Was really disappointed in these. I assumed they were a ceramic, like a clay pigeon but it was actually a thick hard plastic. The ball didn't fall apart or blow up like it was suppose to and only a little powder came out. The bullet just went through it and made a hole. Even when I threw it at the ground after it didn't break at all. Very disappointed

It's a boy!
The media could not be loaded. We followed the reviews and the instructions, and used a 16 gauge shotgun. It worked about as expected with a nice little cloud exploding from it! The target was a tad smaller than expected, but it was definitely still doable. Our entire party definitely appreciated the reveal!

Perfect
The media could not be loaded. I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews on this but it turned out perfect for us for our gender reveal party. I think the trick is to hang it somewhere so you can see the powder explode the best.
