I'm 160 pounds, but I'm short and this skirt covers everything I need it to cover, and it's still super light. The quality is pretty good, and it fits better than I expected after seeing other reviews. It's pretty comfortable and looks super nice with my black pointe shoes. If I was any taller, though, I might go with something a little longer.

Needed royal blue. The skirt pictured is royal blue. The skirt sent is a dark NAVY blue. Returning it.

My 13 year old is 64 inches and the XL is a great fit. Very sheer and great for her dance practices.

we needed the skirt for the dance performance, royal blue color. This one is NAVY blue. Picture is not true to the real color of the skirt. Ties are ok, though not attached to the skirt properly- I had to use my sewing machine to run another line of stitches.

The media could not be loaded.  I'm an aerialist and really like this style of skirt on video, the movement and flow is quite pretty to watch and dance in. There is a decent amount of fabric so that it creates draped waves. Long enough to cover back hips (also made the front too long for me to be able to pole sit without sliding down but that's a niche issue) Tie is a ribbed fabric ribbon so I didn't have problems with it coming undone. Ribbon is however pretty fragile- I pinned it onto a dance costume and the pins left damage when I took it out, my own fault for trusting a ribbon! But makes me wonder if it would survive much use or washing. Seams have some loose threads. But for an affordable quick option I'm happy because it looks beautiful while dancing.

I personally wanted to buy my daughter a ballet skirt that has an elastic waist band. These type of ribbon tie types are pain in the butt- easily coming undone and trying to tie it, is a hassle when getting dressed for ballet class. I couldn't find a navy one with elastic band that is sheer and flowy as my daughter wanted. So this is the one I bought. She is 8 years old but tall and big for her age (she wears 12-14 girl clothes). This one fits her. An adult wouldn't have much coverage. It's super sheer and it looks just right wrapped around her girl waist. On an adult, the ribbon would be too short as someone else's review stated.The quality is barely acceptable. The sheer skirt part is sewed on to a regular ribbon in a not sturdy way. The ribbon's ends look like it will fray- it looks as though I cut it with a school scissor. I needed a navy, sheer, flowy skirt for ballet leotard. This will do but I wouldn't recommend it. You can do better.

This skirt is perfect! Very good quality, heavy and thick enough for the almost opaque effect, but fluttering as well. It’s elastic waist gives you more flexibility as you dance. Beautiful and unique color and design! Can’t ask for more. Very satisfied! “One size” is a little bit small (about M US size), but OK with me. Planning to buy more colors.

The wrap around and tie skirt is made of a sheer and shiny fabric, and is pretty cute. It is just a little big so that there is a little bit of overlap- not a problem really. Satisfied!
