I've tried several versions of sculpty clay and this is by far my fav. The consistency is great. Its not too soft that it malforms when pressed and not too firm that you have to carve to get desired movement with the clay. Its way better than sculpty III I noticed with this clay that when it's baked, it is hard as plastic. I've dropped several baked pieces on hard flooring and they survived without issue. I've made several great quality monsters with this clay and it's my go to.

Super Sculpy never disappoints. This is a great polymer clay. It starts out very stiff and rigid, but once you kneed it a bit, it softens up nicely and is very sculptable. Would definitely buy again.

Just starting out messing around with clay teaching myself how to create stuff for dioramas, etc. I love this stuff. Really fun and easy to use. Baking was quick and easy too.

As of late I’ve been going back through some of my art supply purchases over the years and reviewing the ones that stood out in order to hopefully help other artists make informed purchases, and Sculpey Medium Blend is one that definitely warrants a five-star review. I enjoy art and sculpture, and over the last few years I've really been digging into physical sculpture in particular, and with it, I've been trying a lot of new tools and materials along the way. For years I used to use an electric meat-grinder and pasta roller in order to mix my "perfect" clay (which was a blend of Super Sculpey, Sculpey Firm, and a little Sculpey III), so when Sculpey Medium Blend was announced awhile back, I was interested in checking it out and comparing and contrasting it to clays and blends I already used. I must say: I've been exceptionally pleased and surprised with the results! I think the best way I could describe Sculpey Medium Blend is that it is about the grey color of Sculpey Firm, but with a consistency between Sculpey Firm and Super Sculpey. I love working in a neutral grey clay because it really helps details pop, and in reverse: it makes you aware of rough areas or areas with fingerprints you might want to smooth out. This clay smooths just the same as other polymer clays I've used (with Turpenoid or rubbing alcohol), and it's really quite pleasant to work with! While I'm sure there will be times I will want to crack open my meat grinder and pasta roller once again to mix clays, I can honestly tell you that since I've started using Sculpey Medium Blend, I've all-but stuck to it. It's just that good, and it's contributed to all of my sculptures that you see in the photos below. That said, this clay has become my go-to polymer clay for detailed sculptures, and I would highly recommend it to any artist or sculptor who is interested in adding a new clay to their creative arsenal. A bit hard to sculpt for my child.But overall, it's very good clay.

I used to use super sculpey beige exclusively. But my son used this gray and I thought I would try it because he loved it. It is absolutely phenomenal. It is very easy to use and it does not dry out. It is very moldable and very durable. It bakes very well and does not burn as long as you use the right temperature. I have even painted over it in areas where I needed to. I used the medium rather than the firm and I loved it. I will now be using this a lot more than the beige color. I highly recommend it to anyone who uses polymer clay. It is very affordable.

I've read many of the reviews that said it was too hard, and a few that said it was too soft. From someone who hasn't sculpted anything in over a decade, my impression was that it was significantly softer than I was expecting (given some of the reviews here), but also noticeably firmer than the old regular white sculpey that I used back in the day. It's much more resistant to little accidents than the soft clay while still being easy to work with. I think I'll try ordering SS Firm the next time I buy some clay, though, since I want to do work with a lot of minute details. Getting polymer clay of any variety can be a mixed bag as far as firmness goes. It doesn't "dry out", but it can get much firmer as it ages when it's not being worked with. For instance, the over a decade old, soft white sculpey that I have is still very much usable, but is INITIALLY much firmer because it hasn't been worked with in such a long time. It returns to its softness after you work with it for a few seconds. If you get some clay that's excessively hard even after conditioning, you can knead in their branded SS clay softener, or use some baby oil (which is cheaper), to make it easier to work with. Don't mix in too much! If you get some clay that's excessively soft, your options are a bit more limited / tedious. You can put it in the fridge, but obviously it'll soften right back up after a few minutes of working with it. You can also roll it into thin flat sheets and place those sheets onto scrap paper for a period of time until you get a good stain going on the paper (the paper leeches some of the oil out of the clay, making it firmer). I love that this clay has a medium consistency. It's easy to condition and soft to work with, it holds details well, but once baked it's rock hard! A lot of the sculpting clay is very hard on your hands because it has a very hard almost brittle consistency which this does not. It takes and holds acrylic paint very well. Of all the polymer I work with this is definitely one of my favorites!

Great stuff, so I want to buy more. First I bought it for 16 euro, now it’s 19euros. Looking for an alternative - unfortunately

Me encanta, realmente es uno de los materiales de modelado más versátiles con el que se puede trabajar, no se echa a perder con el aire a menos que te esfuerces por aplicarle calor, por lo que a temperatura ambiente mantiene su flexibilidad y maleabilidad, con ello puedes seguir trabajando incluso por días en una pieza de arte. This is a wonderful clay for sculpturing. you just need to make it softener before using it , thats it .

Cette pâte est assez épaisse et la travailler n'est pas instinctif, mais avec un peu de patience, une fois la technique maîtrisée, c'est la meilleure je trouve. Elle se tient parfaitement et après chauffe elle est assez souple pour accuser les chocs sans casser, mais assez solide pour résister aux coups etc donc je valide +++
