Like other reviews, this stopped working after 3 months. The light in the button is red, the user manual sucks and doesn't have any info on what the button means, nor does it tell you how to factory reset the device. I've tried all sorts of button combinations, removing the battery, etc. Nothing worked. Using a Bluetooth scanner and the mac address of the device in the info section of the app, I can confirm that the device is not transmitting. The unit has been floating in my pool for 3 months, but there's just a tad of moisture inside and no obvious water damage, corrosion, etc. If the device was dead, the light wouldn't work. I suspect it may just have lost its pairing but if there's a way to reset and re-pair it, it's a mystery.Update: after leaving the battery out for a few hours it worked again for a few weeks, then started getting flaky again. Voltmeter showed battery was still good, but I ordered new batteries anyhow. Waste of money for a battery size I'll probably never use for anything else. The device is completely dead. No sign of any corrosion or water damage. It's now out of stock but I don't think I'd buy it again. Probably another poorly engineered Chinese piece of crap with no support. Wouldn't be the first time I purchased such an item.

Didn't work out for me.
This only logs temperatures, but similar products at this price point also log humidity. Not sure how this item came up in my search for "Temperature Humidity Logger" but I didn't look closely enough before I bought. Besides that the logger hardware itself is OK, but the app needs work to be useful. The Newkiton App logs temperature at 10 minutes intervals, I don't see a way to change it, my other loggers let me set an interval for as little as 1-minute.The app for the Newkiton only shows history when you are in the middle of synchronizing. If I click on the white section displaying temperature, it syncs with the device - then I see a new menu in the upper right that lets me view historical charts, and these charts are nice. Sadly I can only get to this section when the app is bluetooth-connected to the Newkiton. My Govee loggers have an app that stores historical data, so I can see their history even when I am not connected to them. I think the Newkiton's app is supposed to do the same thing, but it doesn't work. When I click on the upper-left menu button of the app, one of the choices is "history", but when I click on that it says "no history yet" even though it has been running for weeks. Also, the mystery of "expired". The Newkiton app screen has a grey section on top, above a white section that has the temperature (I'd click on the white section to start a sync). when I click on the grey section on top, it brings up a menu. that menu has a section title "storage", and under that a choice called "expired" that defaults to N/A but lets me choose 1-99. Not in the manual, no idea what it does, neither did Amazon support.

Easy and reliable to get going, but at the expense of features
First, if you are impatient like me, you need to know that it only takes a reading every 10 minutes, so you won't see history until then after you first turn it on. I almost sent it back. You can't set this time value, and you can't create new log files.and I'll save you some time on reading the instructions: Push the button! But, it works for what I wanted it to do, I have a record of the temperature over several days. One thing I didn't catch....this is not rechargeable. It takes a coin battery, haven't searched to see if I can get a replacement yet.Edit - You can create log files, you just turn it off and back on. Of course, no instructions so I didn't know.Edit 3 months later. Down to 2 stars. I lost a history file, not sure how. I thought when you push the button it sends the history to your phone, but it is gone now. You can't tell when this thing is off or on. I think you have to take the battery out and back in - that worked once. Again, no manual, so who knows for sure?

It works as advertised
It's simple and it works so far. It's very accurate as I have it sitting next to two other thermometers for reference. I've only had it for a day so I can't speak to the longevity. Installed battery and paired to phone. Pairing on my Galaxy S10 was simple. Press the pair button on the Thermometer and it was done. Of course pairing can pose challenges if you are not familiar with the process or have an older phone/tablet. I later paired with a second device and I was too lazy to open the fridge and press the pairing button so the app let me pair by scanning for bluetooth devices and pair by name. Again very easy and it paired fine. As for range of the bluetooth I was able to sync and download the thermometer data to my tablet while being 50 feet away and through several walls. I did get a few try agains which I attribute to being at the edge of the distance limit. The data does stay on your phone even while not connected to the thermometer as I was able to view my data while bluetooth was turned off. As others have stated the app is very basic but does the job. It shows current temp, high and low for a period and two graphs of temperature over time. I wish the developer would allow users to set the temperature groupings for the bar chart but you can export the data for more analysis. The export was easy but I did get an error message in Excel about format type not being csv but I ignored the message and the data was all there. One problem the developers need to fix is the export temp data contains the degree symbol which makes it text and it needs to be numeric. My fix was to use the text to columns function in Excel to remove the degree symbol. If the thermometer keeps working for a month I'll likely buy another one...
