The single unit does not contain an ON/OFF switch. All you need to do is plug the cord into the correct power supply and the unit will be operational. The multi-bottle unit has an ON/OFF switch that is located on the side of the unit. When switched to the ON position, the switch will illuminate, indicating it is operational.
