Many my age will no doubt be swept back to a melodic comfort zone enjoyed many years ago with any of these reprises.louis armstrong's voice conveys a depth felt in the heart that is unique, found only once in a life time.this group of hits is a beauty!!!

This is a great compilation of Pops' most accessible material. The selection is well done and the sound is pretty good. It seems like these days everybody knows Pops was an incredible trumpet player. In my estimation he is underrated as a vocalist. From his early days scat singing to his latter days as a crooner (a lot of whats here) he never hits a wrong note. Armstrong was as consumate a performer as one can find anywhere. His performances are full of heart and warmth. I highly recommend this disc to the Armstrong newbie and hardcore fan looking for a nice compilation of his pop hits. A job well done.
