Solid, light frame! Great customer support!
I received this frame missing a part during shipping. A small hole was punched into the side of the box and one of the straps must have caught on something or got pulled out. Regardless, when I reached out to the company for a replacement part, they got back to me almost immediately and sent me a replacement. Very nice people to communicate with and very helpful, super happy with the customer support! The frame itself is pretty light for how much is going on, the aluminum is very solid owing to the tubing and structure, but only time will tell if it'll hold up on adventures. Obviously if you're trying to go ultralight, you could go lighter for a significant amount more money, but you'd likely just be going for an ultralight backpack w/o the frame anyways if you were trying to minmax your equipment weight. For the price, this weight and potential carrying capacity is incredible. There's nothing like a solid frame for hauling heavy things. The straps are comfortable and have a huge range of adjustment. You could easily shed some weight just be trimming excess webbing. The waist belt is very padded, and in my opinion and experience with other belts like this, it's hard to get significantly better, especially for some heavier loads. You COULD get better, just not by much. This frame is overall very solid and I'm very stoked about taking it for a longer adventure than my initial tests. That being said, if I have any issues with it in the future, I will be updating my review fairly to reflect the performance of the gear itself. I just want you to also take into consideration how awesome the customer service is.

Great price, good quality, excellent external frame
I love this little frame. Very lightweight and durable. Configurable fit and does what it's supposed to do. Save your money, this is more than sufficient.

Great freight hauling platform.
Ok I was skeptical at first. I was planning to use this pack just to haul firewood to my woodshed, and build strength for a winter ski trip. But last summer on a project, the elevator quit for about three months while I was working on the fourth fifth and sixth floor of a building. This packframe proved to be incredibly useful for moving material and tools. I could double or triple the amount of material and tool that I could easily carry. I have found that 1/2” webbing and simple knots are all I need to fasten various things to the pack. I even found a large rugged cardboard box that I could lash on and carry materials up and down. Currently I’ve been using it for firewood. This pack will carry all you can put on it. As said by others, the straps are a bit funky, but they haven let me down yet.

Gets the job done. Decent price for function you get.
I use it to haul approximately 50-70 pounds of random stuff for 600-1000 yards once or twice a week. Seems to be holding up ok so far.

So far, so good.
I've been trying to build a ruck habit, and I've just been using a reinforced backpack. Its fine at 25 lbs, but at 50#, the straps would really dig into my shoulders. I'd been eyeing this for awhile, but felt I had to establish more of a routine before I could justify spending more money. Of course the discomfort kept me from establishing more of a routine….So I grabbed it, and have already been out twice, with 50#. It was easy to adjust, the hip belt/pad is very comfortable and helps distribute the weight. My existing backpack hooked easily to the frame. I'm very satisfied!

I’ve used this for packing duck decoys to a remote spot. I’ve also used it for hauling about 160 lbs of traps and beavers from the trap line. It’s tough and it gets the job done.

Very well built. Fit is for taller people
Great product but as someone who is 5'7" I cannot get the straps set up in a way that positions the backpack high enough on the hips. I think it's better for taller people.

Will require you to make small adjustments/modifications if you are less than 6’ tall
Lightweight, had to make some adjustments and reposition the lower back support pad. I’m 5’7” and it seems to be rigged and made for someone 6’ and above. I was able to make it work correctly
