Class of Nuke 'Em High. It's a title that I've loved for a very long time due to its weirdness, gross-out gore effects, and humor. This is not a film to take seriously, but you should already know that seeing as how it's part of the famous (or infamous?) Troma library. I recently sold my DVD copy of the film in order to "upgrade" to Blu-Ray. I realize that not EVERY Blu-Ray is going to look and sound like Iron Man, but the quality of the Blu-Ray print leaves much to be desired. In all honesty, the print was rather ho-hum. It appeared to be of no better quality than an old DVD of the film. I'm not sure if this is simply a combination of the film being low budget to begin with and that the original print really isn't very good, or if this release was simply rushed to cash in on the Blu-Ray craze. But that's the thing with Blu-Ray...sometimes I'm absolutely amazed at how well an old title can look on Blu-Ray (a superb example being American Werewolf in London), but other times (such as this) I just have to ask myself what the point was of releasing this on Blu-Ray. This is an essential film to own (if you're into movies like this), but not an essential Blu-Ray to own.

This and the toxic avenger , 2 of the best 80s b movies. The film style, while total garbage is what makes it amazing . I have yet to see a low budget movie live up to the standards these have set. They are some of the funniest low brow classics you can get. Got to get that "atomic high".

A high school in New Jersey next to a nuclear power plant that leaks radioactivity....let the classic Troma gore and ridiculousness ensue haha. One of my all time favorite Troma films. If you're into sci-fi/horror, cult classic B-movies you'll get the awesomeness of the film.

the reason I got the dvd instead of bluray is because other reviews of the bluray said it was wide screen and didn't look that good . the dvd is indeed full screen the picture is pretty decent 4 a low budget film . I adore this movie . its campy but with good enough acting and story to keep me gladly watching . fans of troma should buy .

It’s everything I remembered it being when I saw it back in the 80s! Completely love this movie and all the sequels! Do yourself a favour and just get it!

I'd never really given any Troma movie a chance but last Thursday I found a double feature DVD under my bed a thought I'd give this a go,soon after it started I switched off my brain and dived in head first and within the first ten minutes I fell in love with it. Yes it's corny and yes the effects are bad but one thing it's not is boring,oh and the girls....my god your not seeing better anywhere else,lol. If you've never seen any of Troma's movies then this would be the perfect start,well this or The Toxic Averager. The blu-ray is a great transfer,sound is great too and let's not forget the extras......they are quality and fun especially the Lloyd Kaufman sections,if your lucky like I was (mine was second hand) you'll get a booklet as well and even though I've not read it cover to cover it's okay. So basically I'm saying "Buy It" you won't go far wrong.

Troma films and uncle lloyd have done it again excellent movie highest recommendation fun cheesey time with so much gore and a super catchy theme song you'll be sure to have a great time from start to finish.
