Regatta Women's Basilia Waterproof and Breathable Hooded Outdoor Jacket

I have recently put weight on and I don't like going out without a jacket on. This is perfect and covers your backside. I ordered it in navy. The white zip and detail around the pockets make it look very slimming. If you're after a lightweight jacket to cover up I would 100% recommend buying this. I am a 14 top 14-16 bottoms and the size 16 is a perfect fit. Many thanks.

Love the colour of this lightweight jacket which fits perfectly with room for a fleece or chunky jumper underneath.Plentiful, secure, exterior pockets.Not so keen on the stripey hood-lining but that's just personal taste.However, I have deducted 1 star for the length of the sleeves. I am 5ft 2in & my hands would need to be down by my knees for sleeves to fit. Why do manufacturers think if you are a size 20, you must have arms like a gorilla?Previous Regatta jackets have had velcro at wrists but this has 2 poppers which don't tighten cuffs enough to stop the sleeves falling over my hands.Haven't worn it in a downpour yet but generally good for the price.

Bought it for 'camino' later in the year. Tested it on a walk the other day, when it was sunny, rainy and gusty all in the span of our 3-hour walk. I was wearing 3 layers: this over a gym jacket over a cotton turtle neck. The temperatures outside were between 3 - 9°C.1) Not warm enough for these temperatures and the underlayers I was wearing. I had to pick up and change to a fleece top on the way home.2) Doesn't feel windproof enough. I could feel the wind on my hands through the pockets.3) It is water-resistant. The rain drops formed beads on the surface of the jacket.4) It has plenty of (5 to be exact) pockets.: two pockets, a buttoned and a zipped one, on each side at hip level and with openings at an angle that's perfect for tucking your hands in, and one internal chest pocket for your smart phone.5) The hood is lined with a cottony material inside and is not removable. It has adjustable pull strings and two buttons to keep it place which are very useful in gusty conditions. It also kept the wind off my freezing ears.My verdict:It is a great rain jacket, not so much a winter one unless you wear thermals or padded underlayers. It is light and packs small so perfect to carry on long hikes. The colour is beautiful, the stitching and cut perfect. Sizing is spot-on with generous room for layering. Love it!

I purchased this coat a couple of months ago for my wife and I'm massively disappointed to say that the zip has already broken (please see image attached). Regatta is an established outward bound brand and you would think their clothing quality would reflect that however, with nothing more strenuous than a dog walk the zip has failed! Lovely looking coat but way too delicate.

This is a perfect jacket for summer in Ireland/UK. Light enough that you won't get too warm, easy to pack into a bag, keeps the rain off you. It's comfortable with sleeves just the right length, covers almost to knuckles but can be shorter by tightening straps. At 5'5 the jacket is the right length for me, as in advertised photo. Size is accurate with room for more layers if necessary in winter. Hood could be a bit bigger, doesn't cover my forehead if wearing hair tied back, but that's only minor. I like the pink, and the grey hood goes well with it. Pockets are comfy. Would recommend.

I am really surprised at how lightweight this jacket is, I ordered a larger size hue to not being able to try it on first, and I needed it before next week for a hiking trip, it’s very roomy obviously so a jumper can fit underneath if needed! It rolls up real small so great for a backpack. It’s very comfortable to wear with plenty of arm movement. I would recommend to buy a larger size than you are though.

Nice jacket the colour is not like the picture azure blue it is much more green/turquoise but very nice. The inside pocket is unfortunately too small for a modern mobile phone, true fit. The lining is nylon so I imagine will get hot, cotton would of been nice but as the label guarantees wind proof and water proof I am going to keep it as overal it is a stylish looking jacket with a good that fits well

Bought this for a short holiday. Lovely Jacket, wore it in the sun (not too hot) and wore it in the rain (kept me dry). Light to carry and ability to tighten sleeve at wrist is great.
