We needed a gate to keep our beagle dog from eating all the cat food. We were so excited to get the gate. Easy to install and easy to use once installed. PROBLEM: our cute little beagle (back height 22”,weight 22#) could fit through the door! SOLUTION: we used zip ties to limit the opening and it works like a charm. One zip tie to keep it partially closed and the other zip tie to keep it open. The cats get in easily. We’re still very happy with the gate.

This gate is sturdy and well designed. The pressure mounting system is secure. If you want more security, the gate comes with plastic mounting cups that can be optionally screwed to the wall. The gate still pressure mounts, and can be easily removed, but with the cups mounted, it would be very hard to push over. This would be a good idea for toddlers and stairways.I’m using this as a dog gate and the pressure mounting (without cups) is plenty secure. With the small arched door, the small dog can hop though if we want to allow that. A couple of latches secure the small door close.The main gate has a secure, but easy to operate latch with one hand. You slide a small latch with your thumb, lift the gate slightly and open it. With this two step system, it will be very hard for a small child or pet to open, but very easy for an adult. I like the taller height of the gate, I’m not bending to open it.The auto close feature works well. It’s gravity operated, with no springs to wear out or break. The gate opens in either direction. When you let go, it closes smoothly every time. If you wish the gate to stay open, just push it all the way and it will hold open in either direction and it will stay open until you close it.The gate has a nice white finish, looks attractive (for a gate) it comes with accessories, extensions for different doorway sizes. It has a nice, smooth, quality feel and action.I’m happy with this purchase and think it’s a good value for the money.

It works well. My chubby cat fits through the little door and it keeps the dog out. Easy to install. WARNING to do not do what my roommate did. She opened the box and immediately started cutting zip ties. There is one zip ties that should be kept on until installation is complete. She was still able to install it but the door isn't as latched on as it should be.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I have 3 different brands of baby gates because my openings were all different. This by far is the worst one and the most expensive. The purpose was to let the cats go in and out but keep the baby out. As soon as I saw the gate I thought immediately the cat door was way too big, big enough for a child to fit through. And sure enough after we installed it, the baby quickly opened the cat door and crawled his way through no problem. Then after because he wanted to try too the 4 year old son then easily crawled though. I would like to return it but I threw the box in the trash and the trash man picked it up before I could run out and grab it. Don’t buy if you want to protect your baby. Not to mention the way it opens and closes is way too easy for a child to do themselves. Not safe! Now I zip tied the cat door shut and am stuck with a gate I hate.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Ok first off its not entirely baby proof... my son figured out how to open the door and could crawl right through lol. Now he's only done that like 2 times and the rest of the time it has remained baby proof unless of course I have the small door open for the dog than he goes through it as well.They say in the instructions not to cut the zip tie attached to the gate until installed, we'll just double check where it is zip tied because ours wasn't even ziptied in the correct place and it took 2 people to install the gate. We also have trim railing where the gate was installed so we had to add a piece of wood to even it out. Overall it's a nice sturdy gate and pretty white. It's made of decent metal and not filmsy. If you open it partial way it will automatically close behind you, if you open it all the way it will stay open. It extended perfectly for our hallway and it looks like it would fit a standard doorway as well.Works great for pets too, our dog was timid at first about going through it, but now it doesn't bother her

Great quality gate! Love the soft bumper pads that pressure the gate in place and is gentle on the surface they’re mounted against. The auto close works perfectly when going in/out or if you leave it open at 90° it will stay open. Perfect options! It looks great cat door locks from either side so it can be shut but pushed open from only one side (although it does not auto close so it can be set to always open). Love this gate! And it is one of the only ones I could find that was wide enough for a wide stairwell that has a cat door. It needs more reviews so more people buy it. 😊

Great baby gate for any room or stairs in your home. We were so excited to find this gate because we found more that were not nearly as good of quality for double the price. We use at the top of our stairs. We own a home with a D light rancher as you go down the stairs there’s two flights which is kind of dangerous especially for a one year-old trying to go up and down stairs to maneuver. We also have a little cat and it’s hard for the cat to go downstairs because the gates always closed. This is the perfect solution. Not only are we protecting her baby but we’re also for allowing our cat to go up and down the stairs as much as she wants. This was easy to install. Good quality. Stays in place. Perfect height and width. Adjustable with. Will make it excellent baby shower gift for anyone that’s going to have a baby and have stairs in their house
