very flexible, but silicone dots come off
These gloves work better than the silicone mitts I replaced with these for grabbing hot things out of the oven or on the grill. The silicone mitts (unlike these) could be immersed but I wasn't grabbing hot things out of liquids, and the silicone mitts were not very flexible. These gloves are easier to use since they have fingers. I haven't tried to hold hot things more than 5-10 seconds but for that they work great. The only flaw is the red silicone dots that give the gloves friction seem to wear off. I've never even washed them so it isn't due to laundry, but on the fingers some of them are almost bare now with the dots falling off.

Good enough for me
Cons: These gloves are not super heat resistant, but-apart from the commercial-quality gloves I use to use at my old place of work (an industrial kitchen), I have yet to see residential oven mitts that guard against heat for more than about fifteen seconds. If you need to hold something hot for a long time, you will have to switch hands or find another product. I have only used them with regular baking, nothing over 400 degrees.Pros: They ARE comfortable and very convenient, nice looking, no odor (which I have found with some, like a rubber smell). The rubber grips are exactly what I needed, as the Ove Glove was rather slick just being cloth. For my purposes, they do the job and have replaced my old Ove Glove.I have not tried washing them yet. I have not used them with steam yet (I will when I start canning this fall and will update my review). I have medium-to large hands for a woman and they fit comfortably with a little room to spare without feeling oversized. My husband has very wide/thick hands and they fit him fine as well. Someone with very small hands may find them to be baggy, but I wouldn't know.

They don't look it, but they're the real deal
I've been using these gloves for removing plates used in a sintering oven. While much hotter than a normal cooking oven, these are electronically controlled so there is no chance of me burning myself. I can't speak to the maximum thermal shielding, but I've tested the anti-steam feature and am rather impressed. These gloves look cheap, but they can withstand a significant flow of piped steam without thermal penetration. I'm glad I picked these up.

Perfect for salt block grilling
Great gloves. Because they are steam protective they have a lining that helps the glove not slip and has a firmness and a fittedness that others lack, but not stiff. Not bulky, good dexterity. I have a med size hand; size 5.5 ring left hand, size 6 right, these fit well. My husband can also wear them easily. He has a med size hand for a man. I bought the one size fits anti steam. Got these for salt block grilling but am using them for all sorts of things.

Work great, but beware when using with liquids
Love these gloves. They do a great job of resisting the heat and grip well when taking things in and out of the oven. Highly recommend. The only down side is they are not water resistant. If I spill something it will go through the gloves, so be careful when using them to carry hot liquids.

... reading reviews and thinking they would be so much better than potholders to handle hot pans from the oven
I bought these after reading reviews and thinking they would be so much better than potholders to handle hot pans from the oven. When I pulled cookies out of a 375-degree oven, the pan burned my hand through the gloves. I was holding it and trying to move the cookies on to a metal rack to cool and ended up with a nice sized white burn on my thumb. The next two people who've used them ended up transferring the metal pan from the oven to the stove and then complaining about the heat.Honestly, they're awful and I don't know how so many people are in love with them.

Great gloves! Love using them at work!
I love these gloves! As someone who works in the air these things definitely help me from getting burned in the galley! They protect against steam and heat and it's exactly what I needed for work compared to the normal gloves which don't normally protect your hands from steam. Definitely recommend these to anyone looking for superior quality when it comes to protecting your hands from high levels of heat.

482 degrees NOT 932 degrees
I haven't used these "New Triple Protection" gloves yet. But in spite of the high cost I bought it since it helps protect against steam burns and one reviewer said it protected up to 932 degrees. Unfortunately no where in the description did it give the degree protection. However, on the package it says up to 482 degrees--I am disappointed with that and might return it.
