Dragons and Other Fantastic Creatures in Origami (Dover Crafts: Origami & Papercrafts)

John Montroll never ceases to amaze me. He gives such clear instructions, that even a novice like me has been able to fold amazing dragons. Sometimes I'm baffled, but I just look at the instructions/diagrams, start moving the paper accordingly, and shazam! it produces what it's supposed to. I attached a photo of two dragons. I often use wrapping paper because my old fingers can't manage the fine details with 9" paper.

book is ok but I had hoped for better diagrams for some of the folds. I have had trouble completing some projects, but that may be partly my lack of experience with these detailed folds. I'll just keep trying and practicing the dragons. I haven't had much chance to do them at this point in time. I have been doing origami since 2010. Beautiful designs I hope I'll get some completed soon.

This book is great! Definitely for those who have some experience with origami and origami instructions. A few of the steps on various items are lumped together and occasionally difficult to follow. But the final products are beautiful.

Gave this to my daughter as a gift. She is new at this craft and was able to follow and complete many of the animals.

My daughters picked this book out for their big brother for his birthday. He is absolutely thrilled being a big origami fan.

Book is good a bit complex, recommend starting off with a lower level if you are just starting this hobby. If you are advanced you should have no problem. I can't say that in my case.

I'm a beginner with the art of origami, so this instruction book is a bit advanced for me. The insructions are detailed amd once I am better at origami I look forward to making everything from this book.

Really nice intermediate origami book. Most of the models I think would be within the reach of a beginner, but it might take a few attempts and some perseverance to get there. For experienced folders these are complex enough to be interesting without being too fiddly. Most of the models are doable in 6 inch standard origami paper, but I'd definitely recommend 8 or 10 inch squares for easier folding and a better result. A 12 inch square of thickish wrapping paper makes a substantial looking beastie.

Expected more simplified way of explaining....some projects steps are skipped... If you are a beginner for origami, do not take risk...

Permet de jolies créations. Neanmoins pour les plus complexes il manque souvent quelques indications pour être totalement exploitable. Quelques photos serait bienvenue, ou des vidéos... Mais on fait sans ;)

Article conforme à la description. Beaucoup de dessins illustratifs avec un bon rapport qualité prix. Les commentaires sont en anglais mais pour quelqu'un habitué à faire du pliage, c'est bien expliqué.
