Loud/Hard Stomp Buttons & Slightly Tedious Setp
Using: MacBook OSX 10.4, LogicPro X, Apogee Duet 2Intended Use: controlling the transport controls of Logic (Rec, Play, etc.)I was looking for a midi foot controller to use for seamless, hands-free recording and the G-Board 'seemed' to be the right fit.Surprisingly, there aren't too many options for MIDI foot controllers (at least not the basic style such as this). My main issue beganwhen I plugged this directly into the Apogee Duet 2 (after installing the necessary firmware, etc.). I've used a few other MIDI foot controllers and plugged those directly into the Apogee Duet 2 as it has a USB port SPECIFICALLY for MIDI. Unfortunately, Logic didn't recognize the MIDI despite my best efforts. Not a big deal, but annoying when my Logidy had no issue. When I plugged directlyinto my USB port all was fine. The reason why I gave this 3 stars is because of the design of the stomp buttons - they are the FIRM-clicking type. If you play the guitar, think of a TAP tempo button vs. an ON/OFF button -- the difference is... inconvenient. The FIRM-clicking type is far more difficult to push and gives you a loud click -- basically rendering this useless if you're using it as I am. I went with the UMI3 instead, not as many buttons but seamless plug and play and SILENT.

Molto piccola e resta ferma a terra.
