Does it have a manual feeder tray?

Yes, this printer does have a multipurpose tray that you can use. The tray is located above the regular paper tray where the HP logo is. Am i able to assign an ip address to this printer on the home network and turn the printer on and off without the printer loosing that ip address?

Yes, you'll be assigning a static IP address.

Will this cut you off when it thinks the toner is low, or can you keep printing until your pages are too faded to be of any use?

I can't speak for this printer directly because I haven't had it long enough yet to run out of toner. However, I can say that with several prior HP LaserJet printers that I've owned - they don't stop printing with low toner. The print starts fading some or streaking on the printout where the toner is low. In those cases, I pull the cartridge out and shake it and put it back in - then can print a few more pages. Will this work with macos high sierra where it will print an adobe pdf document with both letter and legal pages on the correct size paper?
