This thermostat fits Solara Toyota 2004 V6 3.3
Fits. Includes rubber gasket for thermostat. It has the necessary air bleeding hole. Temp stamped on product is 82 C which is also 180 FI bought this version because I believe it is better than the OEM version.Advice for Solara repair:-My old thermostat was stuck open causing the temp colder than expected engine trouble code-The thermostat on this V6 engine is in the top of engine drivers side beneath the air intake and lots of wires/tubes. More difficult than the 4 cylinder.-There is an O-ring in the connecting coolant pipe that you may want to replace or have on hand. This is not included with this thermostat. I used the old one, no leaks.-Engine thermometer is plugged into the Solara thermostat housing... you may as well get a new one in case of breaking the old one off. It’s a tight space maneuvering the thermostat housing around tubes and wires with the thermometer still on, but it is possible. I did it. You can too.

Gasket slightly undersized on width
Gasket slightly undersized on width. Not the same as original. Bought another gasket on Amazon and it was good. This thermostat also causes my temperature gage to move slightly hotter than the original, and it was not as beefy as original. However, it is installed on my ol' RX330 and it works.

Amazon comes through in a big way
This thing is a GODSEND! Thanks, Amazon and “a certain tube of videos”! I saved at least a couple hundred dollars by not bringing my car to the shop. It fit perfectly was easily installed. My car is a 2005 Camry LE. The temperature gauge kept reading like it was overheating even after just a few minutes on. The heater wasn’t blowing hot air. And the check engine light came on for the temp sensor. I first changed the sensor (which I got off a bidding website) and then changed the thermostat. It fixed all of the problems. I’m not very savvy when it comes to the mechanical side of cars but I’ve always wanted to do some of my own minor repairs. I am pretty handy with tools, though, and not too afraid of problem-solving. So take my reviews with a grain of salt.

Compatible with Toyota Corolla - NOT!
The main issue is the gasket that came with thermostat was too thin and the housing could not get a good seat. What you get in return is coolant leakage. In my case I thought the bolts holding the housing were not tight enough so they were tightened and one of the housing studs broke off. Fortunately there was enough left that I could back it out of the block or we would of had to try to tap out in a very small work area. Went to Toyota dealership and bought studs, nuts and thermostat and gasket. When comparing side by side you can visually see the difference in gasket size. So after a week of leaking coolant and several gallons of antifreeze my advice is to buy OEM thermostats for your Corolla.

Just as good as my Sienna's OEM part
I bought this to correct an overheating problem with my Sienna. Although I ultimately found I had to replace my entire radiator and this part did not fix my problem, it was not the fault of this part. I found no difference in the quality of this part or the rubber O-ring that came with it compared to what i removed/replaced. One other note: if you do not own a fair amount of tools and are not fairly handy and experienced at assembly/re-assembly, this part and the task of replacing one may not be for you :-)
