Car Cover Protector Waterproof Car Half Body Sun Shade Cover Shield Snow Dust Protector - Size XL (Black)

I have had trouble finding time to finish installing my new convertible top on my sports car. Since the car is parked outside, the top is subject to leaking if it rains as I haven't glued it on yet. (It's only around the frame held on with safety pins.) So, I found this well made and totally waterproof, but relatively inexpensive cover which is a little larger than I need but does the job just the same and covers about three quarters of the car. Just the front of the car beyond the windshield is exposed. The cover even has an aluminum-like inner side which reflects heat. I bought some extra nylon clips which allow me to wrap extra rope around the car and tie it down even tighter. I love knowing that whenever I need and use this cover, it keeps 3/4 of the outside and the inside of my car nice and dry. It's GREAT!

Weak points of attachment, hold down straps are weak and poorly constructed, two broke after a couple uses. I don't even use the cover anymore because the straps broke. terrible quality

The only problem is that the devices to hold the car cover are made with a very low quality material, they are not very resistant and is a problem to use more than 3 times.I will buy a better material to replace the old ones.

I bought two different car covers in the same order, one was much less expensive than this item and of better quality.I really liked the design of this half cover in XL for a 4 door sedan, but it is simply not well made enough to be taken seriously as a car cover. The pockets for the rear view mirrors are nice as they anchor the cover, the suction cups work but appear to be dangling by shredded threads to the cover itself. I broke one of the "straps" within one minute of messing with it - not joking - they are the cheapest type of satin ribbon, not even good enough quality to use as hair ribbons. You can see daylight through the cover stitching so this will not be waterproof-ish, and the straps I just ripped all off after the one came off when trying to tie it down with not that much force. The suction cups do hold though, and I took the extra cover fabric and tucked it under the closed trunk and also folded in the fabric under the back passenger doors to keep the cover fairly secure. Very hard to get the mirrors into the pockets, need a few more inches for a full size American sedan to fit, but I did get them on.If you are handy with sewing you could add some heavy duty wide band elastic to replace the ribbons, they are worthless. Best thing is probably use this as a template and sew my own cover. Unless this cover is shut into the back doors and trunk it will blow off.Normally I am not disappointed with purchases on Amazon but this cover did not deliver for the price paid. If they just invested a bit more in quality straps it would be worth the money for a very simple, thin cover. It is hard to find half covers and if they cared to up quality they could own their niche.

I feel compelled to leave a review as I almost didn't order this because it was XL and my Miata is pretty small. Maybe one of those Smart cars would be smaller but I've never seen one of those on the freeway. Anyhow, I figured it would be fine because any extra fabric would just cover more of the vehicle. As it turned out the sizing is just about right. The side mirror parts are actually tight and almost don't fit. The back end of the cover goes down to the middle part of the rear bumper so that end does cover more than the picture. The cover is perfect for me but I have a tiny Miata convertible. Just keep in mind that a wider vehicle would have a hard time getting those side mirror pieces to fit as like I said, it was almost a few inches too narrow. I do love it for my purposes and I will probably order another one just to have as a back up because it is pretty awesome how the reverse side is the silver.

I have a vw beattle..fits perfect...seems to be great waterproof..but the straps suck big time...I can sew..so I can fix it and make dew...for the price...if you can sew..it's great..but don't think it will last if you can't..

Fits midsize car like SN mustang nicely, worth the money.Keeps cat prints off the black convertible top and windshield.

Do not waste your time or money. The cords that are to be attached to the rear fenders and front hubcaps are from the cheapest material ever. The design and fit is fairly fitted. It kept my convertible in having water leaked in. The cords are about to burst at the least moment expected. Amazon looks bad in selling this cheap product.
