A pretty good polemic against the ultra-leftist currents in the labor parties back then and is still a good critique of them today (for example, the ICP).

Left-Wing Communism, an Infantile Disorder. Essential Lenin Reading!
Left-Wing Communism, an Infantile Disorder is one of Comrade Lenin's finest works. This is an essential read for anyone who is interested in the successful tactics and strategy of Lenin and the Bolsheviks or for anyone who is aspiring to better the lives of working people in current times. The main point of this short book: We must be wary of those with an uncompromising and unrealistic attitude towards revolutionary change. In particular, Lenin points out the necessity of working with and within even the most reactionary unions, governments and other organizations, so as to better reach out to the working class. He also advocates compromise and even retreat when necessary, while making clear the difference between necessary compromise and "selling out". The Left Communists, who often refuse such dirty work "on principal" are referred to as childish by Lenin. Lenin goes on to point out in his usual thorough manner the vital role such work played in the Russian Revolution, which occurred in a place and time of most severe repression. Like all of Lenin's writings that I'm familiar with, this book is still relevant today. The "Lefts" are still with us, with an uncompromising attitude that ensures their failure. Now, more than ever, Lenin's words ring true. When attempting to change the world or even just your own life, the excellent advice contained in this book is timeless.

A classic of Marxism
For Socialists all over the world this book is an important polemic against ultra-leftism. It was addressed to the fledgling parties of the then Communist movement. It harks back to a time when the Communist movement was not the bureaucratic caricature which it became under Stalin and his successors. It is about a time when the Social Democratic Parties such as the British Labour Party had not passed definitively over to the bourgeois order. The struggle for socialism goes on but the Labour Traitors are nothing to do with it now. This remains an inspiring and instructive work. Socialist Reviews The Death Agony of Capitalism

A collection of lenin's essays. Good print quality. You can find all of these essays online, however, if you prefer that.

Loose leaves unfortunately as it looks good otherwise.
