perfect solution for tall hubby - Update 3yrs later
We have a stall sized shower and a handheld showerhead. My husband always has problems using our shower because he is so tall. I have tried several similar products, that have all failed miserably. This one is strong enough to stay on the wall above the shower surround, and handle the showerhead being taken off and replaced. The arm on it flexes perfectly to get the spray exactly where he needs it, without the showerhead falling out of it, or it falling off the wall. We are verrrry happy with this purchase.UPDATEI am just now replacing mine. I pirchase this in early 2013, and here we are again. Ours gets tons of use, due to my very short staure, and my husbans very tall one. The shower wand is take off and on everyday, and it's never given us any problems. It does pop off every few months, but it's not a huge deal. This product is poorly reated, but strangely has goten more expensive. I paid 15.95 3 yeras ago. But still, its worth every peny.

Used to be good...now it’s junk and falls apart just about a month!!!
I’ve had 4 of these over time. Yes they hold great to the wall, can move them around where you need the shower head, holds well, however this last one I just bought...sucks. I can’t contact the vendor so hence the one star. Maybe this will get someone’s attention.I bought it Sept 6th and it broke one month later. And the exact same way the last one broke. They are getting cheaply made! My first 2 held up way better! These last 2, junk! Thought we got a fluke one that was bad but nope, they are terrible! Last one broke in about 6 months this one in one month!!!! The center button that you push to move it just pops apart and you can’t fix it. And it’s suctioned to the wall!!! That’s a load of fun getting it off the wall because it does have good suction. Once you get it off the wall, throw it away. It can’t be repaired and it’s useless.I’m just outside my return date so can’t return it. So warning, don’t buy this! I have to find something new now!

It works...
The item works exactly as described. The other reviews are right on. The item must have a pristine clean, ultra smooth, ultra flat surface to stick to. even the slightest wave or bump under the device and it will not stick. The flexible neck portion of the device has started to show signs of rust already after 3 months of use. The ring that the shower head sticks into is a bit small for my Delta shower head. This plastic ring is showing signs of the silver being warn away already. That being said, this is the best item I have tried so far over the other miserable look a likes out there. I hope they come out with a second version of the device in which they can overcome some of these shortfalls.

Good work, Britta,
This holder is nicely made and it does exactly what is needed to securely hold a shower head where ever it is to be placed. There are some caveats. First, the wall surface that it is to be attached to must be smooth and flat. My shower stall is a preformed vinyl and is perfect for this unit. The typical 4" by 4" glazed ceramic tile would also be a good choice. The second is that the hose for your shower head must fit the opening in the holder. The hose on my shower head, which is of the armored style, fits but it is tight. I often wonder when ordering why there is a dearth of dimensions to help decide if the product will work for me. For those who are curious about this I took some measurements to share with you. The base that attaches to the wall has a diameter of 2-13/16". If the flat surface is less than this, it might not work. The diameter of my hose is 0-9/16". If your hose has a greater diameter, you might need a different hose. The suction device works well and thus far no problem with it coming loose.

Doesn't Work Without User Modification
This product didn't work but I gave it two stars because I like how it looks and I was able to modify it so that it does work.I bought this because it was the nicest looking alternative on Amazon. Many reviews said it didn't work but I'd seen that before and Id always been lucky. No luck here - the thing broke in the first week. More on that in a moment. The device is plastic with a faux chrome finish. But it looks nice and in my experience these finishes hold up pretty well. I imagine I'll get a year or two of use out of it.Now, the problems:The device didn't stick. I have smooth tiled in my shower that are large enough to fit the entire based without touching grout. I was careful to clean and dry the tile and to keep the rubber on the device clean and dry as well. I gave it a few pumps every time I was in the shower, as recommended by another reviewer, but the thing wouldn't stick. I didn't try it on my glass shower wall because I didn't like that placement. So, for me, the device was an epic fail on its number one intended purpose. Also, the arm broke. It became loose almost right away where it attaches to the base causing it to lean forward which dropped the shower head unto the ground. Pretty bad, huh?So I fixed it. I used Crazy Glue on the arm so that it stayed in place. Then I used 3M permanent mounting tape to mount it onto the tile wall. Caulked around the base so that water won't get in and decay the tape and I think I'm good. I figure when it's time to remove it the fault and tape can be easily scraped off of the tile.So now I'm happy, it doesn't look bad, and my six year old loves taking showers by himself. As long as I remember to place the shower head back on his holder after I'm done with it we're good.If you want an easy solution that just works I wouldn't recommend this. If you're a bit handy then go for it.
