I love this trash container. Doesn’t take a lot of space but holds a 13 gallon trash bag. It doesn’t hit against the wall when it opens and closes slowly and quietly. I really like that it has a can liner so you can keep the inside clean and not smell like trash. I would buy it again.

Very nice garbage can for my kitchen. Love the design. Looks very sturdy. I like the wide stepping device and it opens and closes quietly. Though it’s supposed to be stainless, because it’s black and the lid is black plastic, it looks plastic. But I like the humble look and price.I gave this four stars because the sizing is all wrong. I read a lot of complaints about the size and difficulty fitting a right size bag, I wanted to give the potential buyers a correct information.It is advertised as 14x14x24.5 square. But the actual exterior size is 14x12 rectangle. Most importantly, the inside bin’s size is not in the description, and it’s 12.5x9.5x22.5. This figure makes the bin 11.6 gallons in volume. But since the bottom of the bin is a bit narrower (10.5x7.5), the actual volume comes out to be 9.55 gallons (according to ChatGPT), not 8.5 gallons as advertised. No wonder people had hard time finding the right size bags!I just got the can and did all the measurements so I can order right size bags. It was not easy. Just ordered 13 gallon Hefty bags. I’ll see how it fits. Good luck!

This is an awesome trashcan and although it took some getting use to we love it. I wish you could open it without stepping on the foot portion but it just took some time to accept it and get use to it. We needed a trash can badly and although it seemed pricey, it is definitely worth the price.

I just got my new Amazon trash can today. It came in perfect condition--not a scratch or dent on it. It is very well-made. I was very happy to find that the inner container is sturdy plastic without holes in the bottom, which is exactly what I wanted. If one of the liner bags leaks, all I will have to do is take the inner container outside and clean it out with a hose--PERFECT! The hardware on this thing is well-made and looks like it will last a long time.Bottom line: This is one of the most economical trash cans available, yet it is also one of the nicest and well-made.I have used other high end brands of trash cans that cost a lot more money but this one is the nicest and most well-designed one I have ever owned.

The can is solidly built. The auto opening lid is a cute novelty. The best part is it's size which is the only Can i could find to perfectly fit a grocery store-sized paper bag. Here's the scoop!1) I've gone plastic bag free! I lined the can with 1 plastic liner bag, but just as a backup.2) open and fold back the top rim of the paper bag same place in the can.Note: Just don't put liquids in the bag. Also, I compost the food scraps. I have a mini can for that which i dump in a compost pile.NO MORE PLASTIC just like when I was a kid in suburbia!

Not sure if the designer of this bin ever used it. Every time you remove the inner bin to add a trash bag, when putting it back into the bin, it catches on the lid. Very annoying to deal with.As a trash can, it seals the smell pretty well. Nothing special about it but it is cheap.
