Awesome product!
Overall, I love this product. It looks great and is fairly easy to go in. I used over 20 boxes of the stuff and had mixed results with the product, depending on which box it came out of. I probably had 2 or 3 boxes where the product was very difficult to slide together, due to very tight manufacturing tolerance, and I think the difficulty was actually in scraping off paint to slide the 2 units together, but I also think those sections are the least likely to come apart. About 10 of the boxes were perfect, no complaints at all. The remainder were either too loose or arrived damaged. These things are not packaged well and damage easily in shipping. The pieces that were too loose would not stay together when you try to interlock them. I suppose you could rivet them together or something, but I sent some of them back because of this. I would still recommend this product for its rigidity and overall good looks when completed. Time will tell how the paint performs, but at least there won't be any rust! As for the pieces that assembled loose, I think that corrosion and getting the pieces dirty will actually aid in keeping them together long term, but we'll see.

Stop putting stone borders around trees.
This is a great border. It's easy to install and it might be the best looking aluminum/steel type border I've seen. The way they interlock, the pieces are seamless. The rounded edge at the top is used to lock the pieces together, but it also looks a lot better than the standard straight cut edges of most borders. Stone looks nice for some borders, but plan ahead before putting a circle of stone around trees, especially young ones. Trees push the ground with their roots when they grow. Stone will quickly lose its level. If there's mortor, it'll crack. Take a look at some yards as you're driving through the neighborhood and I'm sure you'll see many examples. This border isn't as rigid as stone and should be a better long-term look. The instructions say to dig a trench, but that's overkill as long as you have soil that isn't rock hard. Just loosen the dirt a little. You can push the border into place for the most part. If needed, tap it with a rubber mallet to fine tune the leveling.

Look nice and simple in our garden
This worked great in our garden. We used it to separate the area between our plants and the grass. You can push it all the way down or leave it a few inches above ground and it looks fine. Definitely better than the old pieces of wood that were there before. The pieces are pretty long already, but it's easy to slide them together if you need to connect them. They also bend fairly easily if you hold it down with your food and pull up on it. They are fairly thick so it takes a bit of strength to do it, but it bends nicely and doesn't look cheap and creased. We used some heavy duty cutters to cut the pieces. That one definitely took a bit of strength, but that's because these aren't made of thin, crappy metal. I really love that they look simple in our garden because they do the job but don't take away from the overall look. We got the dark bronze colored ones and really like them. They've only been in the ground a couple of months but so far we haven't seen any rust or a change in the color. I'll update my review if that changes next year.

Love these
Flexible for curves. I have ordered several sets of these to edge between soil & grass. No rusting over past three years, except for the stakes (which are substantial enough to last for years).I have recently used them for edging around a slightly raised bed under a large tree, & for creating tiers on a sloped garden bed. I didn’t trench them in, just installed them & filled in soil on backside. Look great. (Although I did order some heavy duty plastic stakes to use instead of those provided, so the rusting heads won’t be seen.Sliding the panels together takes some patience, but is doable. In some areas I just overlapped without joining them. In others I left a gap for drainage.I have used black & bronze (which is more like a faded black) . Much easier to use than the more flexible plastic edging & more durable in my experience.

Best of found.
I have ordered and installed four of these kits now. Will continue to order more as needed to fully build out my landscaping plan. For my needs and desires, I cannot find a better product. Installation is simple and the material naturally forms a fair and even curve at just about any radius - even where two pieces overlap. To create a new bed/feature, I remove the sod in the planned area and dig a shallow trench along the perimeter. I set the edging even with the base of the grass stems and use the included nails to secure. Then, backfill with soil just to the bottom of the edging. Install landscape fabric (if you're not one of the internet crazies that thinks it's the devil's work) and fill with cover material of your choice (in my case, 1.5" Red Bryan Limestone). Done. Easy. Setting it low in the ground allows me to run my lawn mower wheel right on top of the edging - no more edging with a string trimmer. That alone is worth the price of admission. The bronze color is great. It's not terribly visible anyway when installed as I've described, but what you can see is basically the color of dirt.

Love these so much I bought more
I installed four sets of these borders about 5 years ago around a garden. I have been so impressed I just purchased two more sets for another planting area. They have absolutely stood the test of time. I use a string trimmer around them and they have not shown any signs of damage or wear. They are more expensive than some of the other options but well worth it. The flexibility makes it easy to install around curved beds and they interlock for longer runs. Great product.

Looks Good!
Not as obtrusive looking as other edging materials. Easy to install, but I had a lot of small areas to do and it is not that easy to cut/break. For larger areas, it would be great.
